UPDATE 9-7-18: Since my little girl is getting older, I'm finding I'm having less time to work on swaps, and I can't put the level of detail into my swaps that I want to. I'm going to do my best to join in a couple swaps a month, but I understand that stepping back a little might affect my memberships in some groups. Thanks to everyone that makes this site so great!
I'm new to all this swap stuff, but I am very excited!
I'm 32 and just moved to Colorado from Texas last year. In that time my husband and I have had a sweet little girl Katherine join our family. I couldn't transfer for work, so I am currently a stay at home mom, which has given me some extra free time. Kat does take up most of it, but I've started some new hobbies to keep me busy(-er)
I love animals, we have two cats and a big beautiful great pyrenees, not to mention our two fish tanks. I also love dragons, and cryptozoology...I have a plesiosaurus (aka Nessie) tattoo on my shoulder. Long story.
I'm a bit of a nerd, I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember (mostly Nintendo, I had a legend of Zelda themed wedding), not to mention board games and many card games (magic the gathering anyone?). I have a bunch of random collections (pewter dragons, video game stuff, playing cards, knick-knacky things, coins, needle minders...)
Please note: as I'm sure some people have noticed, I'm sending out washi samples on Magic cards. I have way more extra Magic cards then regular playing cards, and I think buying more would be silly. I'm doing my best not to offend anyone.
If anything is wrong with any of my swaps please message me. I will gladly fix anything so that everyone is happy!
I just started quilting this year, which I've been enjoying immensely, but I've done just about everything.
I've been cross stitching since high school (which was a while ago)
Scrapbooking since college (though not as much as I used to).
Small embroidery, lots of collecting, origami...
Tried crochet, but that didn't work as well for me.
I just started baking this year, and love trying all sorts of new recipes!
I'm always open to trying new things, and I'm always excited about my next project!
I'll listen to just about anything, I enjoy old country like George Jones and Merle Haggard. I have a satellite radio, so I listen to the 60s (I grew up on oldies) and classical with the baby. Rock, alternative, metal (yes, I like Rob Zombie, Metallica, also Baby Metal...look up Give me Chocolate), some pop...
I'm always looking for something new to read, but I love horror books and movies. Not slasher flicks, like monster movies, or psychological thrillers. Think Stephen King, Alfred Hitchcock, werewolves, zombies (not Twilight). Supernatural stuff. I also still watch way too many cartoons. I never grew up.
Sci fi and fantasy, love star wars and all the marvel movies.
And Game of Thrones, both the books and TV show.
I do not like the color pink, crazy, I know. Just never been a fan.
I don't need teacher, reward, little kid stickers, etc. My baby isn't old enough to appreciate them, and I want to be able to use the stickers I get for other crafts. Thanks!
Animals, all animals!
Dragons (I'm looking for the kawaii Mind Wave dragon sticker flakes. I know they existed at some point, but I can't seem to find them anywhere!)
Kawaii memo pages, sticker flakes, stationary, anything really! I like jinbesan, rilakkuma and tenorikuma especially, but it's all good!
Legend of Zelda (and other video games)
Fantasy
Mythology and cryptozoology (Bigfoot stuff, Nessie, etc)
Fountain pens, things relating to fountain pens (stationary, things of that nature)
Fabrics (all colors, my stash is tiny)
Any local items, I love seeing where you're from
Birds (I have a couple small bird books from Russia that I can't read but love)
Ephemera
Pocket letter supplies
Paper crafting supplies
Fun collectibles (postcards, bookmarks, foreign currency...I love coins)
Anything water related, I love swimming, rowing, and fishing
Anything related to the outdoors
New ideas, meeting new people, patterns for new crafts
Also, I collect squished pennies, I have since I was a kid. If anyone finds some, I will always take more!
Also also, since I found tea swaps, I will try any type of tea! I just don't drink as much black tea, since it is my end of the day drink.
I know this isn't a huge list, but I'm easy to please. If I don't like it for myself, I'll gift it to someone else or use it to create something.
Not that it should come up, but I'm allergic to :
Carrots
Wine
Sulphur treated fruits

Hello, very nice to meet you - I'm really excited to be a part of this new paper crafting group. I love that you have a nessie tattoo - I went to Scotland a few years ago and looked hard for her but she didn't feel like saying hello. Still dipped my toes in the Loch though. I'm also a quilter - I studied textiles in school and it's the craft I go to most often if I'm not playing with paper. Pink is my favorite color, but I won't hold that against you, if you don't hold it against me lol. l look forward to getting to know you better! For: getting to know you--Addicted to Paper group.
Hello for the "Getting to know you" swap! You've got a very interesting profile: Nessie, dragons, origami, video games (have you read Ready Player One? ;) paper crafting of course...
What is your current project?
Since you started baking this year, you MUST try to see the original The Great British Bakeoff! There is no better program.
Looking forward to swapping with you <3
"Getting to know you" swap:
Hello! I enjoyed reading through your profile and getting to know you. I know you've been here for a few months, but still welcome to swap-bot. I started swapping eons ago and just recently came back to swap-bot. I've been swapping abroad lol. Crafting for swaps is just a relaxing thing for me, besides, I have to do something with all of the crafts I make, so why not give away. Hope you like it here. Hope you had a lovely Easter and have a nice day!!
GettIng to know you-- Hello! I am a cat lover as well as a papercrafter. It looks like you have tried many different arts and mediums. I am limited with space issues so I kind of just stick to paper items....and I do love snailmail so i send lots of postcards and letters.
Hope you had a nice Easter weekend. We had snow and cold but nevetheless, enjoyed our ham and scalloped potatoes! I am sure looking forward to sprIng!!
Welcome to swap-bot! I hope you enjoy the swapping here;)) So true about painting; I also need not to think much or hard about it. It gets me stuck:)) But when i randomly start.....I'm left amazed on what I painted:)) It is suiting and relaxing.
I also like scrapbooking and would like to do that more. Baking is so nice, but I'm not that good in baking cookies:)
for the "Getting to know you swap".
