I'm a University student, in Buffalo, New York, where I major in Computer Science and History. I love mailing things- I'm pretty experienced with shipping and such.
I participate in Postcrossing, and if you're interested in using that as a reference, my username there is also Guvnorium. If you have never heard of it, I suggest you check it out, it's pretty cool. I also organized a postcard swap on a message board I participated in back in the day, too. I don't have any interesting hobbies, really. I play video games and watch internet videos like everyone else; mailing things like this, and collecting Speed VHS tapes for the World Speed Project, is the closest thing I have to a hobby at the moment. I collect postcards, and other correspondence, so this site caught my attention when I saw it tweeted about.
I'll be honest- I don't know what they may mean by a fully filled out profile. I hope this is it!
Rush, Simon and Garfunkel, Daft Punk, the Fiddler on the Roof soundtrack... I'm a little eclectic in that regard.
I think 1984 is the best book ever written in the English language. I like lots of other books, too. I'm currently enjoying Iain M Banks Culture series, but I'm almost done with that, which is most saddening! I also recently finished "Ancillary Justice," which was excellent.
I have, of course, read the Lord of the Rings series, and enjoyed them thoroughly.
The "Star Wars" trilogy are my guilty pleasure, but since I'm not much of a movie guy, I don't have many other kinds of pleasures. I do love "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb," which I have been told is considered a 'good' movie. I also have a big soft spot in my heart for "Terminator 2: Judgement Day," which is, in my opinion, either James Cameron's best, or second best movie.
I loved "Breaking Bad" as much as everyone else did. I was a huge "Stargate: SG-1" fan back in the day. Atlantis, less so. "Battlestar Galactica" was ALMOST excellent, but the last season makes it only very near excellent, in my estimation. I've been flirting with "Supernatural" lately, but am hung up on season seven.
I also watched all of "Fringe," and liked it, but can't precisely remember how good it actually was.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA like I have the talent to do any kind of craft.
...because I can really only check my PO Box on Friday's and Saturdays, possibly extending the time that any items sit awaiting pickup, and also possibly attracting the vermin that may or may not live in the post office. If you are confident that that is not a problem, I am not allergic to anything except amoxocillain- so as long as your food has no penicillin derivatives in it, I can eat it.
I'm a Unitarian Universalist. Google that if you're curious. That means I won't push my religion on you. Don't push yours on me.
I like 'local' things. So if you're sending me a postcard, or anything really, I would appreciate if it somehow reflects where you are from.
I like just getting mail from all over though, so if you feel like ignoring my desire for local stuff I won't actually care, and will just be excited you sent something :D
