I'm a stay at home mom of four and wife of one awesome sailor. I homeschool. I study random things (perpetually--it's almost an illness). I love crafts, knitting, sewing, gardening, cooking, baking. I hate housework. I love writing. That's the talking points version of me.
Jane Eyre: I read it at least once a year. Anything by Doyle or Christie. I love mysteries, so if you can turn me on to some authors who really weave a fantastic mystery, let me know. When I'm low on time, I read romance novels because they're easy and fun. I prefer historical romance, but I'm also rather fond of modern stuff as long as it's slightly different to the last 500 modern romances I've read.
I'm a relatively new knitter, but I've knit a god-awful number of dishcloths for people this past year. I've done several scarves, but I really love making circular scarves/cowls. I tolerate crochet and embroidery. I love sewing--especially when it means I get to make something fun or cute rather than sewing patches on my husband's uniforms. I'm hoping to try some Free Motion Quilting in 2012. I make wreathes and bows and pretties for around the house, but I've never gotten into paper crafts very heavily.
I have no known allergies other than seasonal allergies, but I realize that many people are plagued with allergies, so in the spirit of full disclosure here are some things you may need to know about items coming from my home: Smokers in the home, a dog in the house, two cats in the house, kids in the house. Any food swaps may not be allergen free since we have no known allergies in our family.
