I am a mixed media artist, but enjoy trading ATCs. Usually I make collage cards.
I live in sunny Queensland, Australia, where I work daily in my home studio.
Mostly I paint, with acrylics,... any subject, any size from miniature to 90 x 90 cm. I'm slowly moving from realist to abstract.
Collage has become a very addictive part of my life and I participate in the International Collage Exchange each year.
Because minimum International postage is set for up to 50g, I usually include some 'bits' in with my swaps for my swap partners to use.
Australia Post is notoriously slow, and I don't live in a major city, so please give sufficient time for my swap to arrive at your place before leaving any negative feedback. I ALWAYS SEND! If you are worried about something not arriving please contact me.
As I am so far away I usually send as soon as my partner is allocated to give heaps of time for mail to reach you. PLEASE RATE ME AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE IT...otherwise I don't know if it has arrived, and I always worry.
All music has its appeal, but I love Latin rhythms, jazz, and world music.
I love anything based on art or famous paintings, any collages with vintage images, non-English text, anything humorous.
Clever and amusing collages are my favourite.
I collect:
Foreign postage stamps (particularly with heads on them)
Interesting paper
I LOVE unusual earrings
Charms
Old photos
Vintage images and text
Old book pages
Washi
Interesting stickers (NOT glittery or foam)
Word stickers ( NOT 'love' related, or happy birthday)
Inspirational quotes.
images from old comics
Arty postcards.
ATCs and supplies for them
There's not much I really dislike. I don't like too much soppy sentiment, or pink or cutesy.
Prefer not too many flowers...I'd rather have creatures.
I don't need buttons, thread, or ribbon.
I rarely drink tea or coffee, so PLEASE DON'T send either.
I prefer ATCs in a vertical format rather than horizontal...but that's not too important.
I also prefer not too many thick embellishments in ATCs or postcards as it is hard to scan them for my files and/or fit them into the pockets in my album.
