About Me

I love making and receiving ATCs.

Swapping is a way for me to connect with others, have positive feedback in my life, and have an outlet for my creativity. Hosting a swap every now and then is something I enjoy. There is so much in this world to find inspiring!   When I read others' profiles I marvel at how well they describe themselves. I think of myself as a nurse, mother, grandmother, artist, poet, quiltmaker, dog & cat lover, country girl, passionate woman. Not at all complicated. Lol

I will not flake. I will send out my swaps. I make an attempt to have the swap item ready to go by the time partners are assigned. The '3's' on my ratings come from a bad time in my life several years ago. Be glad to tell you all about it but don't want to put it out there for everyone to read.

Favorite Crafts

Quilting, painting, ATCs, designing quilt patterns. I also crochet. Scrapbooking is a passion. I love Victorian style and Craftsman style. I especially like getting original painting ATC's.

My Latest NEWS

I have been making t shirt quilts and denim quilts to supplement my social security check. I advertise on the local swap shops on Facebook. My daughter and I go to Farmer's Markets as vendors. She makes soap. I make kitchen towels, masks, doll clothes, and other items.

I have made friends with a woman who lives in Kenya, Africa. The other side of the world! l Have been studying Swahili.

Comment: I got tea, a fake dollar bill and fabric... was very disappointed. Everything smelled like cigarettes and I got a bad headache. Once I can, I will be rating lower since this was a bad swap. I've only done a handful and this was so sad. I put so much time into my letters only to receive a crappy put together envelope that stinks.

Linda, you are too funny! Yes, give me more hearts please! I facilitate our local monthly ATC night and we love doing different techniques and flips & folds with our ATC's. Some are shaped, some open and read like a book, others have multiple layers and most contain a metal charm. So much fun and glad you liked it!
