I live below the Uffington White horse Hill in Oxfordshire with my lovely husband Nige and our son’s Jonty 8 and Thomas Tickle 6, we also have 3 ridiculous pekin bantams Miss Scarlett, Madame Tutu & VuVuzela the cockerel plus a brace of guinepigs.
I am 38 with far too many grey hairs.
I worked with horses (mostly dressage) for many years both here in the UK and Denmark but now work in a large independent Garden Centre as leisure manager which is fun although planning Christmas in July can be a bit odd!
Things I love:
Retro design, the beach (which is quite funny as we live in land locked Oxfordshire) trees, Autumn, books, new pens, my garden in early May as all the flowers are out then, cheesecake, rich colors , hand crafts, early mornings, mist, dark chocolate, the V & A and finally the National Portrait Gallery
I love to celebrate festivals throughout the year with family and friends as well as Christmas, Birthdays and Halloween
Things I am not so keen on:
Bad manners, late nights, synthetic fabric, pastel colors and housework
Things I am truley rubbish at:
Spelling!!!
I love music from White Snake’s Power Ballads to Mendelssohn’s Mid Summer Nights Dream with a good dollop of John Butler Trio thrown into the mix
Depends how tired I am, my sister has given me the most beautifull fairy tale book for Christmas but I keep nodding off whilst reading it
I have a selection of favorite books by the bed from education through art which is written about Steiner education to Agatha Christy's they came to Bagdad, I just pick one at random and they are always good
Cookery Books are a big weakness, I seem to have loads piled up but usually end up looking stuff up online when I wish to cook
It has to be Labyrinth with David Bowie & Jennifer Connelly.
I tend to watch movies once or twice and thats it and always cry watching the railway children!
Love anything by Stephen Poliakoff especially Shooting The Past.
Aslo the Last Air Bender Cartoon which is very beautifully drawn and written
Having a household of boys means am a bit of a whizz with Primeval and anything with a monster in it
