I'm Teri from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. I'm an HRIS specialist (Human Resources Info Systems).
I love going to the beach or sitting by a pool, as well as gardening and reading. I'm a former MMORPG-addict, still looking for that next great game. I hope to live near a beach someday, preferrably in Clearwater, Florida.
I love tiny things, cute things, sea shells, parrots, anime, blue things, carousels, ferris wheels, turtles, dragons, fairies, apples and flowers.
I collect postcards, tiny ceramic animals, teacups (especially miniature teacups), tiny dishes and fridge magnets shaped like fruit. Thanks to someone on here, I just discovered the tiny Wade figurines in Red Rose Tea, so I'm going to work towards collecting those, also.
If you are ever missing anything from me, or if I sent you something you feel is not up to swap standards, please message me! I make an effort to send everything out on time and per the swap criteria or better, and would like the chance to resolve any postal confusion, etc.
I love card-making, crocheting, jewelry-making and needlepoint. I'm trying to learn spinning, but I need steadier hands and more patience.
Other hobbies I love are reading and gardening, and I am hoping to start a small terrarium soon.
Favorite books - Song of Ice and Fire, The Phantom Tollbooth, Hunger Games, Sookie Stackhouse series, Harry Potter series, Twilight, Star Wars series, LoTR, Lankhmar series, Stainless Steel Rat series, One Amazing Thing, Pern series, MythAdventures series, Dresden series, Hitchhiker series, Good Omens, and To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm also a big fan of short stories of all sorts.
Favorite authors are Heinlein, Hemingway, George R. R. Martin, Catherine Coulter, Piers Anthony, Harry Harrison, Charlaine Harris, Robert Aspirin, Janet Evanovich, and Sandra Brown.
Favorite genre is definitely sci-fi/fantasy, but I also love historical romances, mysteries, suspense, and, in the summer, anything trashy.
I'm kind of a seasonal reader, leaning towards the heavier mysteries and sci-fi in the winter, and flitting through lighter, by-the-pool books in the summer.
Serenity, LoTR, StarWars, Fifth Element, Ever After, 50 First Dates, Pretty Woman, Princess Bride, Blade Runner, Ferris Buehler, Booty Call, Sin City, V for Vendetta, Nightbreed, Harry Potter, Avatar, Breakfast Club, Rocky Horror, Avatar, Twilight, anything by Miyazaki, esp My Neighbor Totoro, anything by Tarantino, esp Pulp Fiction, and anything with Drew Barrymore.
Hi, I'm Teri, and I'm a reality tv addict. I watch all kinds of competition reality shows, but my favorites are Big Brother, SYTYCD, Project Runway, Platinum Hit, Survivor, and Hell's Kitchen.
I also like animes, such as Avatar, Full Metal Alchemist and DragonballZ, and cartoons such as Invader Zim, Lilo and Stitch, and South Park. Gir is probably my favorite cartoon character ever!!!
I also watch TrueBlood (Eric - mrowr!!!), Dexter, The Closer, Leverage, Glee, Burn Notice, Castle, Being Human, Game of Thrones and Grey's Anatomy.
Favorite shows no longer on are Firefly, Angel, Roswell, Buffy, Xena, Hercules, Rome, Battlestar Galactica, Moonlight, and Deadwood.
I love all kinds of music (except country). Lately, I've been loving Dido, Sara Barrieles, Alanis Morriset and Jason Mraz. I'm especially fond of soundtracks, such as Fifth Element, Twilight, American Werewolf in Paris, Phantom of the Opera, etc. My favorite groups are Pearl Jam, the Cure, Kansas, Coldplay, the Police, Van Halen, and Nirvana. I usually love whatever is featured on SYTYCD, at least for a week or two.
I'm pretty open to whatever, but for anyone who wants more specific themes, I especially love: tropical (beaches, sea shells, turtles, palm trees, parrots, etc.; fantasy (fairies, wizards, castles, dragons, warriors, etc.); anime/manga/cartoon (Invader Zim, Gir, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Narato, etc.); nature (flowers, mountains, vistas); carnival (ferris wheels, carousels), fruit (apples, berries, any kind really)
I do prefer written on/stamped postcards, but new ones are fine also. I'm fine with homemade anything. I especially love interesting stamps on pcs or letters. I'm dying to get something with one of the new post office Inventions in Industry stamps - especially the Fiestaware. So cute!
I don't have pierced ears, and don't typically wear teen or small size jewelry.
For colors, I'm open to whatever, but I especially love cornflower blue, rose-peach, and crimson. I love soft pastels, but I'm also a particular fan of brights. On cards, I love metallics, glitter, and diamond dust. Shiny!

Read my profile & comment Hi Teri, we like some of the same books. I just started reading the Song of Fire & Ice series and I'm hooked. Just bought book 3 in the series and can't wait to read it! I like Evanovich too. Her books always make me laugh.
Read my profile and leave a comment- Hello Teri:) I loved reading your profile seeing how much you love the beach and seashells and etc.. A girl after my own heart:) I wish I lived closer to the ocean, I'd be at the beach all the time. I make cards too and I have to always use something sparkly, shimmery or blingy on them. Maybe we could exchange some "shiny" cards:)
