Hello from Jess! This is my first time posting a picture. I hope I am doing it right :-) Weather in St. Louis has gotten cold recently. I wonder how is it like in Florida? Anyways, please stay warm!
hello swap partner (im one of the five folks leaving you a little hello for the profile swap) it's so lovely to see i got a fellow nature-mama, since i too am a huge lover of mother nature and all her beauty. as i write you, im sitting on our enclosed porch with my littlest (he's two, the others are ten and seven) who's coloring up a storm. it's a cloudy day, very windy, but warm for autumn. during the nicer months, we are on the porch for hours each day. crafting together, reading, playing and the likes.
how many cats do you have? we are animal enthuisasts here, and currently have four rescue dogs, one meow-meow (as my kids call her), two chinchillas, a lizard, ducks, chickens, and bunnies. the buggers (rabbits) escaped last night, and lucky we found them hiding in our garden. do you do any gardening yourself? right now we are mostly growing herbs and flowers, but my goal is to grow all of our own food (which will be a long-time coming, since im busy being a mama & homeschooling these three wild-things)
i too, am an autumn lover. i appreciate and adore all seasons, but fall has a place in my heart. the foliage, the pumpkins, the first fire lit when it gets chilly, thick wool sweaters. oh my! we are knee-deep in diy here, and today we plan on making beeswax candles out of pumpkins, which is easy peasy. you take your pumpkin, scoop out the guts, and fill it with beeswax (which i melt in a crock-pot i use solely for that, since it sticks to everything) they are simple, and beautiful. i also dip leaves we find in the beeswax to preserve them (i'd be happy to send you a few for your home if you fancy, just send me a quick message and i'll mail them this week)
Hello Sharon, I think if we knew each other we would be friends. I love history too and I like lighthouses and daffodils and tulips and other spring flowers. My hometown has a Victorian Days festival every fall, you would like it. Katie. (This is for Profile Hellos # 6.)
