Hi, Stamping Friends!

Stampasaurus Seagirl is my stamping persona. Happening upon a ‘STAMPASAURUS’ rubber stamp one day combined with a fascination for mermaid stories, what can I say? - my stamping alias was born. I love it when I stumble upon a new galaxy of cardmaking stampers & discover new companies & loads of unique techniques & pretties! Hope to find much fun here @ swap-bot!

Stamping is my passion --- mostly I create handmade cards, which I send to family and friends. I participate in a greeting card ministry of caring and cheering. And also participate in online card challenges and swap “cards and letters with people I don’t even know!” I love stamping blogs! & blog hops because you can find so many new ideas!! Just stamping & card-making & more, oh my! I do Christian Collage Art, too.

My other passion is books. I’m an avid reader and researcher – lifelong learning about Women’s History, saints, heaven, pilgrimages, Rome, the Holy Land, Portugal, ocean life, flowers, succulents, gardening, aromatherapy. I have favorite artists & writers, of course.

In fiction – I read mostly mysteries & have dozens of favorite authors, and sleuths that echo my interests, always seeking new authors to broaden my horizons. Reading cozy mystery series is like visiting friends. Sometimes I expect to see my favorite sleuths & their friends when I’m out & about, I’m so immersed in the stories. Collect Sabrina, the Teen-age Witch books, too! & children’s books, such as I Know An Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly & Over In The Meadow books in their various themes, holidays, & altered adaptations. I love Dr. Seuss & Little Critter books, too.

Actually, I have 3 passions! I love the Ocean – beach towns, lighthouses, beach cottages, beach décor, aquariums, sea shells, sea birds, amazing sea creatures like sand dollars & hermit crabs, sandcastles, & mermaids. & I rarely pass up a plastic sand-toy in a favorite color!

I have a fascination for bicycling, dinosaurs, holidays, Clue, Bible games, mindless sit-coms, & so much more. Dream of having a mini motor home so that I can stay in my own space with my own things. Maybe camp. Can you believe I’ve never been camping? At all, ever - & I collect Coleman camping supplies & Craftsman tools! My Dad was a carpenter, built our house. The artiste in me collects Crayola supplies, too. My participation sports are bicycling, croquet, & ping pong.

Letters are a primary pleasure for me. I reverently keep them and marvel at the little paper worlds that unfold when I open the envelopes. Letters are where magic lives.

10 Surprise Things I Like To Receive In The Mail

a letter, a letter opener, postage stamps, rubberstamps, butterfly, buttons, flower seeds, old photographs, maps, origami cranes. A postcard or ATC or a few used postage stamps is always a plus!

orange, magenta, turquoise, purples, greens, reds, actually Roy G. Biv is one of my good friends! - the six colors of the rainbow (really what is indigo but blue, guess ‘they’ needed a vowel!) I like black & white, too, to incorporate in my work. & neon colors. & always red, white & blue.
