I am a writer/slacker/artist. I dig making just about everything, but especially collage, photography, jewelry ...
I taught myself to knit last winter. So far, I've only made hats and scarves! Maybe this year, a doggie sweater?
I love Day of the Dead and collect Mexican folk art. I love the bright colors, the religious symbolism, the celebration of life and that they often use recycled things to make art. I am inspired by Frida. :)
I got married on Halloween and love spooky stuff!
I enjoy all kinds of bits and pieces for collage work ... vintage images, comics, retro patterns, geometric, vintage nudes, words, butterflies ... ink pads, distresable inks and embossing powders, etc.
Oh, and I love rusty, metal things! Cool rusty engine parts, bottlecaps, old nails, metal coathangers ... basically anything old and rusty, I love to use in art! Send me some cool, metal doodad I can rust (or that's already rusty) and I'll be your friend for life! :)
I'm a chocoholic. Don't tell anyone!
I like all kinds of music. You will find everything from Beck to Muddy Waters to Hombres G in my collection. Rock on!
I'm originally from the South, so I also love Southern folk art. Anything fun and funky ... I like bright, vibrant colors and art that reuses or recycles, and art made from unsual things.
Not so much into fairies, angels, and cutesy stuff ... pastels and glitter are okay if used correctly.
I collect floaty pens ... you know the ones you get in airport gift shops or other touristy places that have the piece that floats ... love them!!!
I also love sock monkeys and other crazy little sewn or felt animals ....
I am an animal lover. I have 2 fish, 2 cats and 2 dogs. I live near a lake and take care of a huge family of ducks. I often feed birds, squirrels, and woodchucks too! My newest addition is a Yorkie named Oliver. (pics on my myspace page)
I also am a gardener and love nature. Nature and landscapes are a common theme in my photography.
Look forward to trading with you!
