I love learning new things, reading, travel, crafting (mixed media, watercolors, sketching, papercrafts, modern quilting, sewing). My kids are older now and self-sufficient and I am in my second act. Would love to swap with people (of any age!) who would like to try new different art techniques, making something that they have never made before and like to play with paper, paint and any other art toys. Age is not an issue, and would love to swap with people who like to learn new things too! Live in Southern California, work part time, and have lots of interests but love meeting and getting to know new people! Obviously I am a newbie, but swapped Pocket Letters for a couple of years and will never leave anyone hanging. If I sign up I will follow through!
I love rock, funk, classical, country and anything with a good beat!
I love to read, particularly memoirs. I have been reading a lot more fiction lately but if a book doesn't hook me within the first 20 pages I move on. Our house is full of books - my dream would be to have a wall of books and one of those library ladders. I drool when I see pictures of rooms like that in magazines!
Since I live in an all male household (even the dog is a boy!) there aren't a lot of chick flicks on our TV, but I love a good drama, true story, and my top 5 desert island favorites would be as follows: The Color Purple Awakenings Forrest Gump Schindlers List Gone With the Wind
We binge watch crime series (Blue Bloods, Bosch, and Criminal Minds) but my recent addiction is "Call the Midwives." Also recently enjoyed Alias Grace...I love when someone tells me about their favorite binge so when I actually find a time slot to sit down and watch TV I don't have to waste time surfing!
I think I listed them above, but my current passion is watercolors and anything with paper or fabric. I love to learn new things (although try as I might, crochet and I didn't get along...I ended up with one big teal colored square that I can't bear to throw away!) but if I had a good teacher I would be willing to try it again. Also love art journaling, making junk journals, flip books and tags. My Pinterest pages are full of pins but I can't stop looking. So many cute and fun things to make!
I love all colors, paper, fabric, and am not particularly "particular" about what I receive because if someone took the time to send me something I always appreciate it! Not into "cutesy" things but can appreciate that others do and I enjoy that fact that we are all so different!

I just wanted to let you know (in case you were doubtful or wondering) that Iām (still) excited to be friends! Life (life with illness) is just getting in the way, as usual. I will be in touch very soon! Directly by email? I hope you are doing well! xoxo, Erin
