I am alive & aged to where I consider myself in possession of a patina. It has been polished, by rising to challenges & meeting them head on. I have dents, scars and a crooked demeanor. I marvel at words & their texture. My life's motto is "Adapt, improvise, overcome and if all else fails - walk it off". I have 3 cats, 2 dogs, and my one grand passion of 31 years, cabinets of curiosities & long saved plants. I have read voraciously. I believe everyone is weird - some are just more interesting than others. I hug both trees and firearms. I do not particularly care for summer - except for gardening. I do not like clear blue skies or heat. I embrace fog, rainy days & snow. I love history, mystery, fantasy & questions. I have never seen a ghost but not for lack of trying. I am a Lyme disease "survivor" although the wee beasties are still in residence - we are in negotiations with them to move or die off in the near future. I am a responsible and will not disappoint. I love mystery, fantasy, Steampunk, Victorian wares, vamps, were-animals of almost all kinds, and most NON pastel colors. Old PCs, ancient ribbon, broken composition doll parts, interesting metal items, I love. I turn into a pumpkin - a partially rotten one, at that, - if pink gets on me. Neons are in my past but jeweltones, dark and nature colors are my present. I am too old for goth but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. All of my kids have 4 legs and fur and animals are my favorite people. I talk to my compatriots and they respond - we do not have a language barrier. No, they are not human, they are evolved.

I read constantly - write old fashioned letters, swap postcards, and have a delightful penpal in the UK. I enjoy American Pottery, antiques, collectibles, trivia, sayings, long lost relics and intellect. I play with words and enjoy what I like to call Country Grunge music.Ray Wylie Hubbard sings my kind of songs. I create altered art. I love all things Steampunk and vintage/antique. Unique images, old photos, mystical and witchy pictures are something I always look for. I make Guardian Warriors to help others overcome their fears or problems - my blog is amazon59@blogspot.com and am always up to the wee hours creating something. I love art and would like to see/hear about yours. Everything in my life is vintage (second hand rose)- except my computer and I have a collection of vintage photos, art and images and bits and pieces for my altered art. I am not girly - my mother was most disappointed! I do not like vanilla or rose or sweet aromas. Patchouli, sandlewood, lemon verbena, sage, bergamot, woodsy and spicy for me. Religion of any type is NOT something I embrace so it is not appreciated or enjoyed. Kids stories, movies, books, pics and most anime and hello kitty and cutsy are not for me - graphic novels of more adult nature I do enjoy. And nudes are embraced in our household. Hidden object and word games fascinate but facebook farming is not my thing. Please no items from smoking environments - makes my dogs growl when they smell it and makes me want to throw it away. I tend to take the long way home to enjoy the ride. I never start at the beginning but always get to the end.

I enjoy - Ancient things, mystical, witchy, vampy, 1920's - 40's, oddities, vintage, unique, the things you want to look away from -but cant. Animals, woods, nature, un-natural, the things mom's warn you about and the weird. Snippets of people's lives - letters, notes, cards, bits of lives gone by. Early and late attic, torn treasures and fractured time. Old watch parts, gears, brass, copper, metal imaginings. Any little thing I can use in my art - 3d is fine for me and rusty, twisted and "whats its" fit right in. The only things I can't use are really bright, shiny and new. Don't fret - I appreciate and find homes for everything whether it is at my address or another. I rate on fulfilling the swap - not whether I "like it" or can use it. And expect the same.
