howdy! my name is dezi. my birthday is 30 december which makes me a capricorn. i've lived all over the world, including germany, england, china and the united states. i am an only child.

growing up, i spoke german, english and arabic. languages have always come easy for me, with little study. i don't know why or how, just that i can learn languages well. i speak german, english, french, and spanish fluently, and japanese and arabic not so fluently.

i have always been loud, gregarious, friendly and mostly kind. i am also never late, mostly serious and always polite. i am not very strict, with rules or many other things.

i like tennis and soccer. i don't watch much television, but i love watching movies. i like to jog, but i am lazy. i can cook, but i hate to do it. i am politically minded, and i am very liberally progressive in all things, especially in economics and society. it's tough being a liberal progressive in georgia, in case you were wondering.

i have a bachelor's degree in french secondary education. my minor was statistics. i also have a certification to teach english as a second language. i do work as a teacher. i'm not sure if i want that to be my career, but it's something i do well.

• I am not a very crafty person, so many of the things I send are store-bought. I do try and read profiles and make sure I don't send anything that you don't like!

• I do not scrapbook, so try not to send scrapbooking items. However, I will not rate you down for sending them, because I can use them in other swaps!

• I have no preferences in regards to postcards, notecards or stationary. I do not use religious things, but I don't mind receiving them.

• I like black, red and white teas. I don't like fruity teas. I do not drink coffee or hot chocolate.

• I like RSVP Ballpoint pens ( http://www.pentel.com/store/r-s-v-p-r-ballpoint-pens-6-pack ) and Sharpie Fine Point pens ( http://www.sharpie.com/enus/pages/fine-point-pen.aspx )

• I can read AND write French, German and Spanish, along with English. You are welcome to write to me in any of these languages, and I will ALWAYS ask if I can write to you in one of these languages!

• Please do not send me any racist or sexist things (not that I've had a problem with this, or think that you will)!

• Please message me if you have not received something. The post office has sometimes been unable to read my handwriting and has sent things back to me. I've tried to improve my labelling, but it does sometimes happen.
