Hi, my name is DeeAnn and I am a craftaholic.........My husband says I don't have A .D.D. I have A......ooooo shiny!

I knit, crochet, scrapbook........ I even make glass beads. I LOVE learning new crafts!

When I'm not crafting, I'm busy being a mom to two teenagers! My son is 18 and is a freshman in college. My daughter is 13 and in 8th grade. Being a mom is my favorite thing to be!

I've been happily married for 21 yrs to my soulmate. I feel very blessed to have found him at such an young age.

I've lived in 4 states in the last 10 years: Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, and now Ohio. We just moved here Sept 2010.

I'm a member of the SCA. It's an international medieval reenactment group. It's loads of fun and I've made a ton of friends through it. My husband and children fight in it, but I enjoy all the crafts!

I have some health "issues". I'm Type 1 Diabetic (I use an insulin pump). I have neuropathy in my legs, and arthritis. It might slow me down, but I'm still truckin'.

I love the 80's and the 60's. I've seen Sting, U2, INXS, Johnny Rotten, Fleetwood Mac, Crosby, Stills & Nash (twice) in concert. Indigo Girls, Buddy & Julie Miller, Train, there's even some country I like. I'm pretty eclectic.

I'm not a big reader, although I read the Harry Potter series, the Twilight series, and the Artimes Fowl series. Guess I'm still a kid at heart.

House, Glee!, Eureka, Haven, Warehouse 13, Project Runway, Bones, Survivor, anything with Gordon Ramsey .....gosh, it sounds like I watch a lot of TV!

knitting, crocheting, card making, scrapbooking, cross stitching and blackwork, needlepoint, weaving, glass bead making, jewelry making, viking wire weaving, journal making, kumihimo, and probably more that I can't think of right now.

I LOVE the colors purple & green (I HATE country blue), teal and other jewel tones, Hello Kitty, fall weather, Holly Hobbie (I collect anything with the REAL Holly Hobbie on it), bargain shopping, elephants, owls, and (obviously from my username) Chicks, watching football (GO BEARS and SAINTS), and being with my family. My whole family and I are huge Star Wars nerds, also.

I'm pretty easy to please, but I do DETEST country blue. I don't wear makeup. I have allergies, so nothing perfumed either, please. I'm also allergic to wool.
