Hi I'm Liz, and I have too many hobbies :)
Right now, we rent a small house in an old neighborhood, but one day I'd like to live on a couple acres with some chickens and goats and a HUGE garden.
I have a BA in history and english literature, and an MS in library and information science. I have been working as a Reference librarian in a large public library for almost 5 years and I love it!
I am an avid vegetable gardener, and just became a certified Master Gardener this past year.
I try hard to be Earth "conscious" -- I eat locally and organic when possible (although not strictly), and recycle everything I possibly can. I hate throwing away packing supplies so I try to reuse them if I can. If you are offended getting used envelopes, please let me know and I will send you a new one, but know it pains me deeply :p
Other hobbies include: beading/jewelry making, scrapbooking, SMASHbooking, and sewing. I love vintage craft supplies, modern fabrics, bright colors.
Oh, and I adore pink flamingos and dark chocolate :)
I joined swap-bot in October 2012 and have quickly become addicted to swapping :) I love sending and receiving happy mail. Unfortunately due to USPS increases and budget, I will have to limit my swapping to swaps that only take 1-2 stamps to mail :( I might be able to slip in a higher shipping cost swap here and there, but it will mostly be USA only flat swaps.
If for some reason you don't receive a swap from me, please send me a message! I will gladly resend :)
I will ALWAYS rate, and expect others to do the same. It may take me a few days after receiving, but I generally don't open packages until I have time to sit down and rate.
Beading: I've been beading for probably close to 20 years. I mostly like working with seed beads and in bright colors. I also like to make hair accessories, so clips, bobby pins and metallic colored wires get used often.
Scrapbooking/papercrafts: I enjoy scrapbooking and paper crafting and ATCs. I just bought a Smash Book and am looking forward to filling it up with all of the little bits of my life I have been saving :) I really like vintage ephemera embellishments and themed papers, bright colored double sided papers (like K&company Jubilee collection), Washi/decorative tape, alphabet/number stamps and stickers, and adhesive borders.
Sewing: I just started to teach myself how to quilt. I love fresh, modern fabrics (like Denyse Schmidt, Pat Bravo, etc.). I can also use pretty much any notions since I just am getting started.
Gardening: I live in zone 6c and would love to swap seeds/plants with people. I mostly do vegetable gardening but I also like to use perennials and herbs around the flower beds. I'm also up to swapping gardening advice anytime!
Nature: I love nature, and animals. I'd love pictures of scenery or animals in your area.
Cooking: recipes are definitely welcomed :)
Gaming: I still consider myself a "gamer" even though I don't do it nearly as much as I used to -- like I said, too many hobbies! My biggest game time waster is World of Warcraft. I've been playing since 2006 with periodic hiatuses. I play console games, mostly Nintendo franchise stuff, I especially love anything old school NES (especially Yoshi, Kirby, and Zelda). I play the Sims 2 and the Sims 3 occasionally.

I hate that I have to put this here, but I've been getting flaked on quite a bit lately and it's discouraging.
