I love the glimpse into your kitchen (of a decade past) and the little explanation on your photo card. Little windows into other peoples' lives have always been my favorite part of mail. You've inspired me to dig out my ziploc bag of photos- my aunt still buys disposable cameras every time I come up and sends me home with or later mails me copies of all the pictures- I think I know my next happy mail day theme. (:

Thank you for your March randomail. I have a lot of photos that would make nice postcards too, maybe I'll try it! The end of March and beginning of April has been all rain here in Ohio. We really need to dry out over here! LOL!
Thank you for the randomail. It's hard not to smile back at that grinning snail! I've got some broccoli and cabbage germinating under the grow lights, and some spinach in the cold frame. I always try a bit of everything I want, and make do with what succeeds.
Now getting rid of books is a whole 'nother story! Making envies with them is a wonderful re-use!
A friend bought a giant Audubon bird book off a web site, turns out it was not as described so they returned her money and told her to keep the old book. We had a grand envelope making evening =o)
The man wanted to buy a truck! Which the other man pointed out that he didn't have his driver's license. Which the first man counter with the fact you don't need a driver's license to own a truck. Which the other man again counter with pointing out he couldn't go anywhere or move the truck or actually use it without a license.
This conversation stemmed from a morose confession about how the would be truck owner had turned down a proposal from a woman who had waterfront property and had he married her that land would have been his and the other man pointing out she had every right to move on if he rejected her proposal before finally saying they should change the conversation.
If you are curious, the proposal confession came from a debate on if you could spread the gospel properly if you were married.
I enjoyed your morose memories. I just have been constantly interrupted today and it slipped my mind to pop back over (husband, power outage, mail arriving...). There is a certain loneliness to the area I've noticed as well, I think it's hard to adjust to being here when you're not from here the people are different... Maybe that's true of most places.
I'm glad the goods envelopes found you (and safely!). I thought you might enjoy Lucy. I was absolutely dumbfounded when I pulled her out of my sticker sub last month. Like... you seriously wanted to send this abomination out into the world out of all stickers you could have chosen? well, alright.
