Quilting: Love modern fabrics, solids, polka dots, checks, and fabric with words, birds and numbers. I think aqua and red together and black, yellow, white combinations are adorable. That said, I can never settle on a particular style so my stash is full of varied fabrics and all colors. Currently on a mission to complete all my unfinished projects (19 at last count).
I like to piece more than quilt so I usually have a few finished tops hanging out in the closet, guess I should work on that! I have been sewing since 1968 (yikes!) and have the unfinished projects to prove it:)
Embroidery: Better at hand than machine but there is still hope. Love, love, love Crab-apple Hill embroidery patterns. Recently finished embroidery on "Hocuspocusville" and looking for a new project.
Paper Crafts:
Discovered I really enjoy making and receiving handmade envies and mail art! It is so fun to mail something in unique packaging! I've also become a tape fiend, most of the packages I send out have been through my extreme taping program:)
I am so grateful for the wonderful, inspiring and encouraging paper crafters on Swap Bot that are always willing to offer advice. What a great group!
I am fortunate to belong to three active quilt guilds, Louisville Nimble Thimbles, Louisville Modern Quilt Guild and Desert Quilters of Nevada.
I'm married, 60ish, and we are a non-smoking household. We have a new pup in our household. He is just over a year old and full of inquisitive energy!
I promise to mail my swaps out on time and have never not mailed a swap. I will try to do the best job I can on your swap and will sometimes mail on the last day possible, fussing over it to the very end.
I want to spread happiness with my swap packages, if you are disappointed for any reason, let me know and I will try to make it right. Thank you for giving me this consideration.
I enjoy sending my swap partners extras usually based on their profile (or the swap). I generally send with delivery tracking and eagerly await my rating so please rate my swaps. I will PM you if you have not rated my swap, even with Tracking, I want to make sure it was received. If you do not receive my swap, please let me know before posting a bad rating, and I will gladly resend.
I will promptly post a rating for you and I rate by Swap-Bot rules. I understand packages get lost in the mail and will not leave a bad rating for you until I have tried to reach you first.
I have a huge collection of blank, older Las Vegas postcards. If you would like one, send me a message with your address and I am happy to share.
Wide front porches, sunrise, big trees, quilts hanging on a clothesline, church, warm sandy beaches, Jimmy Buffett music, skeleton keys, sewing with friends, bumblebees, cornhole, antique shops, flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores, college football, sleeping outside, words and lettering, kindness, tailgating, making lists, handmade gifts for no reason, wind, rain, thunder, lightening, vintage, shabby, and antique stuff, garlands and banners, the scent of pinesol, bonfires, going to a hockey or baseball game, Halloween and Christmas, old books, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, honesty, pizza, autumn, Werthers, chai, adirondack chairs and porch swings, red wine, parades, laughter, polar bears, twizzlers, organizing, diversity, integrity, quality fabrics, clothespins, history, big dogs, positive people, silence, and old Smokey the Bear stuff. There are far more things I like than dislike so watch this section grow:)
Dishonesty, laziness, negativity, Sun Bonnet Sue, Sam and anyone else in the Sun Bonnet family, disorganization, rude drivers, gossip and drama, intolerance, the smell of smoke unless its from a bonfire (see above), littering, clowns, and flying monkeys.
Groups: I join Groups that look interesting to me. If, after a while, I find I am not participating in a group, I will remove myself. Group Founders, please do not be offended, I just feel if I am going to be a part of your group, I need to participate and be a worthwhile member.
Please never be concerned about sending something I might not like. I recycle and reuse so I hope you wouldn't be offended if I share something you sent me (that I can't use) with someone else.
So much fun in learning something new! Other botters have been more than generous in sharing supplies, tips, tricks, and tutorials. Their encouragement is pushing me forward into new crafting/artistic areas daily. Thank you!
These are just suggestions for specific Swaps I am participating in now, in the past or possbily in the future, not a demand for certain items. Something you do well that may introduce me to a new craft is always welcome.

Love middle of the road Halloween, not super cutesy or super gory.
Any Christmas colors, bright red, burgundy, lime green, blue, silver, gold, we decorate with them all! Vintage elves, santa, snowmen, and nativity sets.
Fabric: aqua, red, yellows, gray, black tone on tone, cream or white tone on tone, lime green, oranges, purples, pinks, prefer darker/brighter colors over pastel shades. Solid cottons are always a good choice! Any polka dot, bird prints, or fabric with words. Not a huge fan of mauve, peach, or neons. Love good quality 100% cotton, Moda, Amy Butler, Riley Blake, Bonnie and Camille, Michael Miller, Alexander Henry and Robert Kaufman lines are some of my favorites. Any batik is a good batik in my opinion.
