I am a semi-retired school psychologist living a quiet life in the woods with my husband of 30 years. I retired from working in brick and mortar schools at the end of the 2020 school year. I've been working part-time providing teletherapy to students since the spring of 2022 and am loving it, although there are challenges to teletherapy that are new to me and the learning curve has kept me on my toes. I love working with kids of all ages--they just crack me up!
I have an eclectic taste in music, from folk to rock to Gregorian chant to classical. I'm not that deep into any one genre, but I do use music to distract, calm, and focus as needed.
I love historical fiction, classics, biographies, autobiographies, memoirs, and nonfiction. I'm in several online book clubs and have really enjoyed getting to connect with folks from all over to discuss their perspectives on the various books we read. Some of my recent favorites have been:
*Hamnet (Historical Fiction) *The Gown (Historical Fiction) *Invisible Child (Nonfiction)
I am a knitter and a paper crafter. Most of my creations go to charity. I knit lots of hats and blankets. I make cards that get sent to those going through cancer treatments, or who are lonely. I love all things paper!
My favorite colors are in the red/orange, and blue/green spectrum. When paper crafting I enjoy working with earth-toned materials and like making nature-inspired projects I recently got into postcard sharing via www.postcrossing.com.
