I am very happily married to a wonderful man whom is my best friend. We have a blended family - I have 7 children (Ben 18, Brett 17, Jacinda 14, Micayla 9 Twins - Liam and Eamonn 2 and Xanthe 1) and 2 step-children.
We live on the Northwest Cape of Western Australia in a small remote town named Exmouth.
My husband works for the local shire council as the Executive manager of town planning and I am a stay at home mummy.
I am an avid penpaller and I love to write and receive long letters. I am addicted to getting mail :) Especially fat mail and swaps!!!
I am an avid crocheter and I have been crocheting for as long as I can remember. My nana taught me to keep me amused before I started school and I always had a hook in my hand during my school years. When I became pregnant with my first child I decided I needed to learn to make things other than afghans and taught myself alot of the rest of the stitches and techniques inclusive of how to read a pattern and I have gone on from there.
For many years I sold my work at local craft stores and at bazzar and market stalls. Now I just crochet for fun.
I am also a pattern tester for a few people.
Things that I really enjoy making - afghans and squares, toys and amigurami, dishcloths and doillies.
Other hobbies include cross stitch and rubber stamping... as well as other papercrafts but these have taken a back seat to my crochet and penpalling for many years....even though I drag them out from time to time on whims :)
I like all types of music. So one can say I am a bit eccentric with my likes.. Everything from Backstreet boys to the beatles to ween to Bon Jovi to Nickelback to AC/DC to Seal to Peter Gabrial... hmm you get the idea?
Quick and trashy HOT steamy romance novels :) are my favourites....
But I also enjoy factual books, text books on my favourite subjects and biographies.
I also love recipe books as I enjoy cooking all types of foods both main meals and desserts.
I have several collections...
Pigs - ornaments, piggy banks, salt and pepper shakers, tea-towels, etc...
Cows - Ornaments, kitchen items, stuffed toys, bathroom items, patterns and handmade items, snowglobes etc.
Snowglobes - Places we have visited or places where my friends live or have visited. Ornamental with cows, other animals or Christmas etc.
Stationery - stickers - penpal supplies - I have a large useable collection of all types of stationery, stickers etc. I can never resist buying it and have more that I will ever use in my lifetime.
Patterns/stash - I love to have a stash of yarn, cotton on hand so that I can just go dig in it when I need something :) I am currently building this up again after years of raiding it without replacing it during tough financial times.
Walking along the beach, photography, competitions, storm chasing, cooking, gardening

I have tried contacting the lady whom gave me the above one rating to make amends and resend the item I owe her but as yet no response. I have also contacted the swap coordinator.
Unfortunately I had a very valid reason for flaking on the swap.
I was a victim of domestic violence and my children and I disappeared in the middle of the night. We have gone on to make new lives for ourselves and my children are adults except the youngest who will be later this year.
I am employed and financially secure and happily swapping again in my new life.
