Besides knitting, I like gardening, reading, bicycling, and playing the trumpet. I work in a small toy store, and I get to knit at work when I'm not busy. Regarding knitting, I am relatively new to the art. I have only been knitting for about four years. I have several completed projects, a few in progress, many in the planning stages, and a couple in the "maybe someday" categry. I love to knit socks, mostly because they are done so quickly, but I have done a few summer sweaters. I live in the Midwest, so it's wool or alpaca for winter, cotton or the like for summer. I also love to bake (my scones are said to be legendary), then enjoy the fruits of my labor with a nice cup of tea, coffee, or hot cocoa (depending on the weather). I like to bake with whole grains, and I only ever bake from scratch. Favorite flavors: chocolate, cinnamon, lemon

I collect: rabbits

I don't usually burn candles, they just look pretty and collect dust. I relax by reading or knitting, when I can find the time. I have a 6 year old daughter, she takes up a lot of time. My hubby is an avid cyclist, so I'm a bike widow most weekends.
