Hi, Sherry here. I got the nickname Churlann from my kids a long time ago. They thought it was cute so it stuck with me. I live in a small rural farming community called Pennsylvania Furnace, PA. I have been retired from teaching elementary kiddos, in an emotional support program, for 13 years now!
I am a Gramma to 7 beautiful children, ages range from 16 to 2 years. They are a very bright spot in my life. Spending time with them is my brite spot. I live with my husband, and our cat, Maybelle. We lost our little Beagle, Angel, during the Pandemic. We miss her everyday. Maybelle has been so entertaining. She is getting big and loves to explore the outdoors. We love having a garden and raising some chickens. My newest hobby is kayaking, although not in January when I am writing this. I got a kayak for my 70th birthday at the beginning of the pandemic. It was the highlight of our pandemic summer! My whole family are all photographers. My favorite subjects are landscapes from my kayak, animals, old barns, anything interesting that catches my eye, and of course all those grandkids too!

I love to read books but mostly in the winter. I love to cook and try new and interesting recipes. I have been gluten free and low sugar for 10 years now and feel so much healthier for it. I'm pretty good at adapting recipes so any new ones are welcome.

I have three grown children, and even though they aren't at home anymore, I still spend time with them whenever I can. We are a very close family. I have been married to the same wonderful man for 48 years and we are happy to this day. Sam retired 6 years. We like doing things like hiking, kayaking, thrifting, and cooking together.

I love music,!! I have a huge collection of CD's. My grandson wanted to count them all one day when he was here. And there were over 650! Some of them are signed by the artist. My favorite genres are Bluegrass, Old Timey, old Country, old Rock and Roll, and some jazz and western swing. We love❤️ to go to Bluegrass festivals and live concerts, at small venues, not the Megatron ones. Even though I love Billy Strings and Alison Krause, I will not go to their concerts because they are so big.

I have so many hobbies. I love creating beauty into the world. Some of my favorites are... Sewing, crocheting, needle felting, felt applique, photography, kayaking, reading books, collecting music CDs, listening to those CDs all the time, walks in the woods, and creating with my grandkids. Also watching movies and documentaries, doing house projects, traveling to new places, visiting thrift and antique stores, collecting bells and little thermometers. I love spending time with family and close friends too.

I love receiving beautiful and interesting postcards from all over the world.. I especially love vintage and black and white postcards. Art themed, animals, and birds, patriotic, inspirational quotes, handmade ones too. I love to get postcards from other countries, blank or written on. I accept all pcs with love 😘. I love pieces of artwork, old book pages, old sheet music, pretty art project papers, anything that would be used for creating art/collage projects and fun sticky notes and stickers.

Green tea, scented paper, old book pages, tarot cards, kid stickers, that's about it🙂
