Favorite Crafts

I love anything paper, but especially journals & collage, scrapbooking, watercolor painting (still learning!), all paper crafts and photography. I love art journals, ATCs, keys, souvenirs and anything vintage. I have always done variations of "junk journals" or smash books.

LIKES: - ribbons, yarns & unique fibers - all kinds of embellishments - papers & magazine scraps for collages - decorated envelopes - museum postcards - note cards - vintage photos - unusual photographs or photos that didn't turn out quite as intended - black & white photos - like to try to recycle items in clever ways - international "stuff" - foreign coins - foreign language newspapers/magazines - buttons, lace, sewing items - romantic vintage look - quotes - florals - bold geometric designs

No, Thank you.... - anything "too cutesy"....a little is OK - Disney related items - not too much light pink or light blue (in moderation for certain things...)

About Me

I work in leadership development creation and recently finished my doctorate degree. In my free time I enjoy gardening and our lake cabin. I love anything French and enjoy traveling, especially internationally, which I don't do nearly enough!

Favorites -- art, architecture, ephemera, making stuff! I enjoy cooking, trying new recipes and finding great wines to enjoy with dinner.

Favorite Colors: - Green - rich earth tones (brown, gold, green, red, etc.) - muted earth tones

I also like paisely, victorian floral prints, cottage prints.

Favorite Books

I have zillions of craft and art books and I really do read all of them.

I love vintage books -- the more unusual the better!

Favorite Television

I like tv, but I'm one of those people who end up falling asleep on the sofa if I watch too much! My current favorite show is "This is Us". I enjoy a little HGTV and the Food Network. I'm a big Minnesota Twins baseball fan and watch lots of their games on TV.

Favorite Music

Eclectic taste in music -- look at my itunes and you'd find a WIDE variety of music! - 70's rock n' roll - soft rock - Jewel - Edwin McCain - Bon Jovi - Billy Idol - Bob Dylan - Lady Antebellum - Johnny Cash

Favorite Movies

The sappier the better.......or old movies........or French flicks and independent films. I prefer to spend my limited free time crafting!

Comment: It seems we both trudged out after a snowstorm to capture the beauty of the aftermath! The little garden statue with the snow piled high on top of its head is my favorite. Comment: Wow, what a brilliant swap. Think you may have misread the swap instructions, it was 5 items, not 500 !!! :-) Not that I'm complaining. I had so much fun going through everything. Felt like the goodies would never end. Did you take the photo on the card yourself? It's gorgeous and I love all the snow :-)

Comment: Wow! Carol, I had so much fun going through this envelope of goodies!! I feel like I have seen the book that you took the pages from with the long nosed elvin people..what is it?? The ATC blanks are much appreciated and the lucky penny is cool!! I loved exploring through all the different envies inside. Love the Lisa Frank invite...haven't seen one of those in forever!!
