I'm sure that you already know this, but "pug" was an old English term of endearment-- the popular rumour is that this is how they became known amongst the English-speaking world as 'pugs'. I will keep my eyes open for some vintage pug postcards for you-- I saw some Victorian stickers with some very-vintagey pug drawings on them, perhaps there are matching postcards somewhere. :)

I love your profile, especially the fact that you collect "smushed pennies". I will see if the smushed penny machine at Mack's Sport Shop does Alaska ones. If so, I will send you one for your collection as well as a couple of Alaskan Postcards. We don't have many pugs, pigs or cows on the island, unless you include Scottish Highland cows but we do have bears, otters and eagles...oh my! Enjoy the fall colors and roadside harvest stands for me...McIntosh apples, pumpkins and corn...oh my!!!!
