P.S. Even though I just sort of did broadcast it to the internet, at least. (Think it's reading?) Sorry for adding yet more length to my comments, but wanted to tell you an ironic thing that amused me too. My husband, when telling me why he doesn't particularly care for pugs, explained it as "because they look the same walking to you or away from you" or "because you can't tell one end from the other" or sthg. gross. Which I thought was gross. But it somehow made me laugh too, and struck me as kiiiiiinda true, but you know what? It made me love them MORE! And do you know what else? I think he likes them a whole lot too now. ;)
I just read your profile for the first time in ages, and the first pug pic made me laugh. At 5am! I love pugs. My terrier doesn't know this. I also love your pig pic. Pigs and pugs! You might be interested to know that just this week I decided to stop eating pork (actually, had already stopped over 10 years ago) and ham. I was already having trouble eating pork products carefree, but a Facebook photo of pigs jumping off this wooden tower structure into water below broke the camel's back (ouch! That's not what I mean!). You might have seen it yourself. It's the most adorable thing. Whenever I make/order meals with ham in them, I just can't finish them. I look at it then look away. It also reminds me of a flatmate who was vegan, who once turned me off ham for many years by saying "it's the closest thing there is to eating human flesh." Ewww.... But this time that's not even why I'm doing it. I may not be veg*n (yet), but I am trying hard to reconcile doing without a certain taste and dietary tradition for a much, much, much, much greater good. Thanks for providing some inspiration this morning. I haven't even told people in my life yet; not even my husband. I never think giving things up requires broadcasting it to the world. :) Philippa
Wow!!! Thank you SO much for your generosity!!! I'd like to send you something in return as a "Thank you"! So keep your eyes on the mailbox!!!! Thank you again- I'm so happy!
Thank you so much for the playing cards for my assorted deck. Do you want to attempt one yourself? I have lots of random cards, so that could get you a decent start. LMK They are easy to accumulate & organize using sports card page protectors. That's how I collect my ATCs, too! Loved the beautiful note card that you used to mail them to me, too! Gorgeous paper (like everything in Ithaca ;-)
