Autumn is my favorite season, right after winter. There are too many things about autumn that I love but a few include chilly days, hot apple cider, leaves crunching under my feet, and pumpkin spice everything.

Fall has always been a very special time of year for me. I love the clear, cool, crisp days that bring a freshness to one's senses after the heat of Summer. It's a time of reflection, when I can look back at what has served me well and release that which has not, if I so choose. Please enjoy the pics I selected to share, and have a glorious Autumn!
On a side note, I lived in Rome from 9/1973 to 6/1974. That's when I first began decorating envelopes to send home to family, friends, and my college professor. It began my mail art!! I didn't get as far south as Naples, however.
I'm a summer gal through and through, but autumn does have it's benefits. I love when the trees turn beautiful colors. I live in the country, so we have some beautiful scenery.

James and the giant peach is one of my favorite Roald Dahl stories. I have a thing for spiders, I find them fascinating and believe her bravery and intelligence run true to form. Many are scared of spider yet the child says her and his kindness is returned
I also chose the Enormous Crocodile, good vs evil intent is just such a classic form and I find the simple illustrations that were used in it appealing.
