If you do not receive something from me that you were supposed to, please PM me before rating. I always try to send my swaps out on time but sometimes things get lost. And if you don't rate, then I don't know that you received my swap! I became disenchanted with Swap-Bot for a while due to the number of flakers I encountered. It's very disappointing to be flaked on after you've worked so hard to fulfill your end of the swap. Hopefully it will be different this time.
I'm a native Texan who loves to read and travel. No kids, but have cats and a cockatiel and I do love my wild bird friends in the backyard.
I am a paper nut! I like ephemera, postcards, old photographs and just old paper in general--I seem to accumulate quite a bit of it. Love old recipe clippings and handwritten recipes and collections, interesting food labels, especially foreign, etc. Like to garden--both flowers and vegetables. I've lately become quite fond of the color red. And I LOVE the Japanese dollar stores!
I'm trying to learn Spanish. Would love to try and pen pal with someone who wouldn't mind a beginning writer in the language or perhaps postcards.
I LOVE to get mail. I like postcards with food advertising, recipes on the front from different regions or countries (any language), map postcards, real photo postcards and the state Big Letter postcards. But really, I like all of them, new or vintage. Decorated envelopes are wonderful when they appear in my mailbox.
Classic Rock, Jimmy Buffett, Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, Meatloaf, Robert Earl Keen, Country-Western
I always have a fiction book going, with several non-fictions that I'm browsing through for information or inspiration. Reading is like air to me--must have it. Don't read much of the mystery genre or any sci-fi, horror, vampires, westerns, series romance or bodice rippers.
I like lots of movies, but these are the ones I'll watch over and over: As Good as it Gets, Bridges of Madison County, Crash, Out of Africa, About a Boy, Coal Miner's Daughter, Multiplicity, Same Time Next Year, Shawshank Redemption, I Dream of Africa.
Seinfeld--no matter which episode or how many times I've seen it--they always make me laugh. Don't care for the Reality shows, but like In Plain Sight, Nurse Jackie, Rescue Me, Mad Men, Men of a Certain Age, Grey's Anatomy and the Food Network.
Have to say that I currently love papercrafts. Never got into the perfect and orderly scrapbooking methods of today, but still make scrapbooks using all sorts of recycled paper, scraps and bits of this and that. I have started art journaling and love to make those, incorporating all my papers, rubber stamps, pens and inks, etc. I discovered ATCs a couple of years ago and am still learning to make mine better. Couldn't knit, crochet, draw or paint a picture to save my life. I really am in awe of those who can. I sew when I find the time (not often) and can embroider, cross-stitch and needlepoint but haven't done it for years.
.Since I can't paint or draw, I love it when I receive small sketches or drawings by someone who can. Anything on small scraps of paper. Right now I'm working on a journal for my morning walks in the park. Any illustrations that I could use in that journal of birds, nature, etc. I would also love to receive any vintage postcards of Houston or Galveston, Texas, written on or blank.
I don't wear jewelry or fuss too much with my hair, so don't need anything related to this. I don't use lotions, candles, air scents, etc. Please, no bath or body lotions, soaps, etc.
Dietary restrictions mean no coffee, teas, candy and other foods, so please don't tempt me with any. Cute food packaging, however, is welcome

Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that I am LOVING the upcycled art journal you made me a while ago! I use it was a "gluebook" now. It's so fun to work in! Thank you!!!
I LOVE the Jimmy Buffet post card you sent. You're so thoughtful. I had free tickets to his concert when he was in town this summer & had to miss it!!!! Backstage pass and all!!! I was so disappointed. He's one of only a few I've never seen in concert. I smile every time I see the pc on my desk. You certainly made my world!!!! HUGE HUGS!!!
HI there! Just wondering if you ever received the "Interesting Ephemera" swap I sent out.....please don't forget to leave a rating:) Thanks, dear!
Thanks for joining my Swaps!
Hi Kathy, Thank you so much for my valentine. The homemade envelope was very decorative and what a great job making it!!
Hi, just read your profile after receiving the great postcard. I like your name, imneverbored. You have listed quite a few mivies and tv shows I like so I will try to see those in your list I haven't seen. A person with hundreds of cookbooks and a liking for Meatloaf must have good judgement.
Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I mailed off your "Upcycled Envies #2" swap this afternoon. Hope it gets to you soon! :)
