Hi everyone,
Everyone seems to worte such long profiles on this site. I have no children to talk about, I dont do a lot of crafts and I'm not really up for telling my entire life story on a website, so I hope this will suffice =P
My name is Kirstie, I am 21 years old and I live in Scotland.
I has just joined this site because I collect postcards and thaught it might be a good place to swap some. I am on postcrossing and I love it! I really enjoy posting stuff to random people and getting cards in the post from places all over the world. I love to travel and learn about other cultures and postcards are a great way of doing that.
I have studied architecture for three years and so I am interested in art and design however I don't really do any crafts. I see on here that there are a lot of different types, some that I've not heard of before so maybe I will try some out and get some new ideas. But really I'm more interested in collecting things like postcards.
I like all types of music really- I'm not fussy!
I love reading and I have a weekend job in a book shop. Theres are some of my favourite books: White teeth by Zadie Smith, The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood, The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, East of Eden by John Steinback....
My favourite films are Amelie, Spirited Away, Breakfast at Tiffanies and Rear Window. I like old films and I watch a lot of foreign films and sort of more obscure not so mainstream films. I perfer these to a lot of the mainstream american films because they are from a different perspective maiking them more interesting for me.
At the moment, the only TV programs that I watch regularly are Gossip Girl and the news. I like some documenteries and stuff, depends whats on.
I dont really do a lot of crfats... I know how to knit and sew a bit and I used to make Christmas cards but its been a while. Maybe I will try some again but I think building hundreds of architecture models and cutting my fingers many, many times has put me off a wee bit....
