spent most of my life in southern california, then moved to south dakota in 2005, we love it here in the black hills! i work full time as a bill collector. before we moved here, i worked in customer service at dry cleaners. been married since 2006, and we have 2 very spoiled cats, trixie and polly.

not a fan of rap and top 40 stuff. a few faves are: cheap trick, the offspring, green day,dean martin, louis prima, hank williams, metallica, peter gabriel, paul simon, nine inch nails, anita o'day, glenn miller,oingo boingo and warren zevon.

love christopher moore, neil gaiman, early stephen king. lately i've been reading biographies and comedy essays. i usually have at least 5 books going at once, and it's easy for me to do this while reading true stories. am now reading 'just kids' by patti smith.

back in the 80's we'd go to the movies weekly. now, not so much. too expensive to go, and hollywood is not putting out many movies i want to see. a few faves are: ordinary people, buckaroo banzai, ghost world,african queen,beetlejuice, steel magnolias, and goodfellas.

i like the real housewives on bravo, amazing race, and a few other reality shows. hate american idol, bachelor and the dancing shows. a few other shows i like are psych, true blood, 6 feet under, sopranos, big bang theory, seinfeld, curb your enthusiasm, mad men,1st five seasons of SNL, and the larry sanders show.

i do some knitting and crocheting. i can't follow patterns, so i make afghans, hats and scarfs. right now i have a couple afghans i'm making for friends, and am using up some scrap yarn to make small blankets for animals. these will be donated to the local animal shelter.

i'm active in postcrossing, so i love postcards. a few other random likes are : pens,cats, bookmarks,stormy skies, chocolate, forests,road trips, the colors mint green & light pink.

dislikes: birds, the color orange, tea, the desert, cooking, hot weather, high heels, the smell of cigarette smoke,drunks, and bugs.

i enjoy the unusual cards. i like vintage cards, forests, cats, weird humor, and maps. the only kind of cards i don't like are postcards that are really greeting cards & boring ad cards (amusing ones or subjects i like are fine. movie/music ad cards are fine),. do you have an ugly card that you think no one would like? send it to me, and tell me what makes it ugly to you.
