I like historical fiction, especially novels and shows set in England in tne 20s, 30s or 40 such as A Town Like Alice by Nevil Schute; I loved all his books set in England and Australia in the 30s-50s. I found all of his books when traveling in India. They were impossible to find in the US.
I like the Maisie Dobbs novels by Jacqueline Winspear. Also. all books by Nicholas Sparks and WWII non-fiction personal stories.

A Town Like Alice and Second Hand Lions. I also enjoyed the miniseries Winds of War and War and Remembrance. I think I was born in the wrong era.

The Waltons; Touched by an Angel; Call the Midwives; Nashville; Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries; Downton Abbey No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Are you noticing a theme here? I like strong women main characters. Newly discovered: A Place to Call Home, Indian Summer and Indian Doctor I really enjoy the quality shows from BBC and Australia.

I am a widow with two teenage boys. I spent 21 years in the Army, starting as a Private and then going to college and becoming an officer. Along the way, I earned a Masters Degree in education and later one in Library Science. I love books and writing. I worked as a Children's Librarian for 2 years and have been a teacher for the past 10 years; I teach JROTC at an Army base in Germany. I moved in 2014 to a new school (Ansbach) after my base in Bamberg, Germany closed. I have participated and hosted many swaps on Splitcoaststampers including ATC swaps, card swaps, scrapbook pages, recipes and Secret Sister swaps. I want to have more choices in swapping so plan to become active on swap-bot.
