I am taking a break for the next 10 months. Both my dear daughters are getting married and they each have 7 bridesmaids dresses and lots of other stuff to make. I'm afraid swapbot is going to have to take a back seat for a while! But it is for a good cause so I don't mind. I will keep an eye on all you folks when I have a minute to breath!

First of all, please believe that I do not expect to get extras!! Don't get me wrong, I love them. But I only rate on the actual swap item that I receive and I expect to be rated only on the swap item that I send you. If you have put thought and some time into what you have sent me, you will get a heart.

I try to do just one swap at a time. Well, most of the time ;>) I'm afraid I would be overwhelmed by more. But that means that the one 3 I was awarded on a resend, will keep my rating a bit low. I hope it doesn't keep me out of swaps I really want to do!!!

I am in my mid 50's with 4 wonderful, pretty much grown children. After 28 years of being a stay at home mom, I packed my baby off to join the air force, and went back to work. Bummer on that because I don't have as much swap time as I would like!

I teach Sunday School and junior church and sing alto or tenor on a 4 woman worship team.

I have a beautiful perennial garden where I spend my summers. It has kitchen stuff in it for decorations, like trivets under the windows, plates around the foundation of the house, pots and pans on the garden shed, an old wringer washer, even a kitchen sink where the well spills over. I put some pictures on my flickr photostream if you would like to see. I have a lot of my handwork there as well.

I volunteer in a children's Bible club.

HGTV and other decorating shows, old movies, and craft shows. Just something to peek at while I am at my sewing table.

For my swap buddies!!! I WOULDN'T use cartoony things, candles, or smelly stuff. I don't use stickers. Not fond of stuffies, crocheted toys, or yarn crocheting.

I do not smoke, nor does my spouse. So, if I receive anything smelly, be it smoke, perfumes etc, I will rate as if it were odor free and privately let you know that it was smelly. I know that I might receive from a smoker and I will not hold that against your rating (unless it is a swap affiliated with the smoke free group!)

I love anything that has birds (more or less realistic), and garden stuff, especially ROSES. I love FABRICS, rubber stamps, "stuff" for scrapbooking, miniatures, shabby chic, ribbon, laces, beads, and fibers. I love yard sale shopping where I can find small old jewelry or tiny items that I can use for embellishments. I love buttons.

Colors in my home are cream, light sage green, honey colored wood, with pops of cranberry and indigo blue.

I wear more cream than white, more brown than black. Orangy reds rather than blue reds, Teal blues rather than royal blues and very little Christmas green. But I break all those rules so it doesn't matter too much. I must say, though, I really DON'T like lavendar. But I love the flower, though I cannot grow it here. Too cold.

I hope this helps get you started. Just to think of getting a package in the mail is so exciting!!! BUT REMEMBER, I ONLY RATE ON THE ACTUAL SWAP, SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT EXTRAS!!

I sew clothing, quilts, and alter wedding dresses. I scapbook and make cards. I love hand stitching anything, appliqueing, fine crocheting, tatting, embroidery, cross stitching. I am craving to try altered books and other items.
I make a bit of simple jewelry. I sew fabric postcards and wall hangings.
