I make jewelry out of sea glass and pretty sea shells handpicked from Maui beaches. I also make custom made ceramic coasters that have cheetah print, rasta design, flowers, practically any kind of design. I would love to swap these for handmade cards made by you. I go to lots of baby's first birthdays, girl birthday parties age 5 to 10, graduation parties, and baby showers throughout the year and could use some very pretty handmade cards.
If you have not received something from me, please send me a message. Sometimes I send mail and it does not get to its destination. I don't know why. Maybe because Hawaii is so far from the rest of the United States. Sometimes it just takes longer too.
A little about myself...I live close to friends and family. I know all my neighbors and their families. I have fun looking for sea glass at the beach most days. Also, hanging out at the park or visiting with the ohana (family).
I am big on upcycling :) I think it is so awesome to reuse things. I live on an island and our landfill gets stuffed so we need to reuse things. I reuse newspapers for my guinea pigs' bedding. Also, I use newspapers to wrap Christmas presents. My kids use Christmas foam stamps and paint to decorate the newspapers. We also make Christmas ornaments out of corrugated cardboard. Rather than tossing a letter a swap-bot member wrote me, I will reuse scraps of it in a collage ATC. Yes, I am a big fan of recycled art. I think it is fun to think up creative ways to reuse random material.
I love romance, drama, comedy, western, horror films. Favorites would be:
Here are things I collect:
1.I decorate my daughters' bedroom with ATCs and postcards I have gotten through this site and postcrossing. I pinned pink clothesline next to the wall and the ATCs and postcards are strung along by decorated clothespins.
2.I give out my handmade earrings to friends and family as Christmas presents. I am helping to host a baby shower and will give some more earrings out as prizes for the baby shower games.I also make a buck selling my earrings at local festivals and to my coworkers.
3.Crafts are a great way to spend quality time with my mom and kids. 3 generations of crafters crafting together. How cool is that.
4.I make lots of different cards and give them out at birthday and graduation parties. I have used handmade cards that I have been given from fellow swappers on this site.

Hey there I just saw your comment, and I'm glad you like Mexico city! I love all the people who like it here hahaha did you had a nice time over here? how long did you stayed?
Aloha Kanani, You are most welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed your package. I wish I lived on Kauai where my family is - maybe one day! I am actually a California-born girl but my grandparents who were born and raised on Kauai, raised me. So I am an island girl at heart for sure! I spoke da kine before I went to preschool, haha. :) Enjoy the holiday season! Malama pono, Dana
Aloha, and thanks for joining my sea glass swap. I was married on Makena Beach--and it's the name of my oldest daughter. :)
