Hi all. I have been dealing with a health issue the last 2 weeks and have been out of the hospital. HUGE apologies to everyone whose swaps I have not gotten out or anyone I haven't rated. I'll be spending the weekend getting everyone's swaps out and rating everyone that sent me something. Thank you, and again, I'm so sorry for the delay!
Hi, I'm Melissa. I live in CA, in the SF Bay Area. :)
While going through my Grandparent's estate, I came across boxes and boxes of old stationery and misc. crafting items. I didn't want to throw them away so I took them vowing to use them all. Looking for any random excuse to send anything applicable to a situation I had, I was able to use a good amount of it. Which made me realize how much I like writing letters or just writing anything by hand, with a pen. I sit and type on a computer all day, and I really miss hand-writing things.
My hobbies are: sailing, photography, hiking, gardening, cooking, & trying new things.

Welcome to Swap-bot! I'm fairly new too but I've had so much fun here so far and I'm sure you will too!
That's such a lovely story as to how you came about your love for letter writing, I'm sure people will love receiving mail from you using your grandparents' stationary and craft supplies, it'll make it extra special.
You sound so outdoorsy, I'm impressed! I'm much more of an indoor cat myself but I love to spend quiet days outside in my garden or the surrounding meadows. Especially with my pup by my side to keep me company.
I'm currently trying to sort out my garden since I moved to this house a year or so ago. I tried my hand at growing my own veggies a few years back but the slugs always got to them! Hopefully, I'll have a bit more luck this time around.

That's really cool how you found your grandparents' old stationery. You'll definitely find use for them in this community! I used to live in the bay area as well. I miss the nice weather and good food.
