I am 43 years old and living in Ontario with my spouse and three cats (Worf, Dax and Daisey). I am recently married to my wonderful partner, Ellen, who treats me like a princess.
I grew up in Nova Scotia and still consider myself a maritimer, though I have not lived there for 22 years.
I am a teacher in a suburb of Toronto. I am lucky to work in a small school with an incredible team of caring and committed teachers.
I am currently looking for Grade One teachers who are interested in a classroom letter writing swap. Please email me if you are interested.
It wasn't until I was in my early 30's that I realized I had a passion and a smidgen of talent for creating.
Now, I enjoy exploring a variety of techniques and mediums when I express my creativity. I have participated in swaps and jams online. I enjoy creating cards and especially love zentangles. I am interested in trying a variety of other art forms as well.
As Imentioned before, I am 43 and recently married to my wonderful partner Ellen
Ellen and I met about 6 years ago and a party. We dated casually for a few months. Ellen is Deaf, and it was not until I started learning American Sign Language, that we really started dating with a future together in mind.
We had a small city hall ceremony with family, and a party with all our cherished family and friends afterwards. We currently live in Ontario, though that could change after Ellen finishes her phD.
I am a teacher (Grade One) and have been teaching for 10 years. I have worked at a few schools in my board, but feel that I have found a school where I would like to settle for a few years. Great kids, families and communities.
Growing up, I was not encouraged to be creative or explore art. My parents generally felt that if you couldn't make a living out of it, it was not worth pursuing.
When I became a teacher, I took a job as an art teacher, in order to get my contract. I discovered then, not only a passion, but also some talent for creating and expressing.
I began exploring and learning more about different mediums in art and really enjoyed working with water colour.
A few years ago, a friend introduced me to ATC's (swaps and jams) and I fell in love. Since then, I have found joy in Zentangles and card making as well as jams and swaps.
I do see myself as an artist now, with lots to learn as well as lots to share.
