A quick personal note about ratings: I rate immediately (the day I receive) for ALL of my swaps. If you haven’t received a rating from me, it is because I haven't received the swap yet. No exceptions. It isn’t fun to chase down partners trying to find out if they received my swap so I wanted to put this right up front! I will not sign up for a swap if I know I am going to be busy or out of town during the time it’s due to arrive. The courtesy of acknowledgment is that important to me! ❤️**************************************************
I come from a long line of old-fashioned letter writers and to this day, I still treasure the letters I received, all the way back to my great-grandparents, now long gone!
I always appreciate the effort and creativity spent by those who send, and I love to be surprised! It does seem the majority of senders prefer a list to work from so, I kindly oblige:
These days I tend to focus on postcard swaps …
FOR BLANK POSTCARD SWAPS:
• any of the Starry Night themes
• cows, pigs, fox, ladybugs, rabbits, bumblebee
• nurses or teachers, anything for/about
• baseball, any, including your own regional/state stadiums/teams, softball
• camellia, sunflower, daffodil, magnolia, Peace Rose, iris
• any birthday or holiday themes
• ice cream, doughnuts or cupcakes
• lighthouses, bridges or flamingos, sparrows, cardinals
• mermaids (adult-ish, not Disney)
• Snoopy or Peanuts
• patriotic, military, anything for veterans
• billiards or coin-op games
• wine or champagne
• USPS commemorative stamp postcards
• Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh, Chihuly, Ansel Adams, Frank Lloyd Wright
• Smiley face 🙂 themes, hearts, or general cheerfulness
• I send postcards to many senior citizens who don’t have family so anything neutral, colorful, and/or cheery that I can use to share joy with them would be a perfect choice! (cats, cute kittens or puppies, pretty birds or butterflies or flowers also good choices for them) ❤️⬇️
• dolphins, seashells, beach, Adirondack chairs
• golf or baseball
• cardinals (the bird or the baseball team)
• owls or a phoenix
• fancy cocktails, peaches or other pretty fruit
• old-fashioned santas or pierrot moon/rose scenes
• mailboxes or any postal theme
• any holidays or special occasion
• my favorite flowers: iris, hyacinth, hydrangea or any topiaries
• State Bird series
• any and all of the postcard series (LouPaper, WanderonWords, Max and Oscar, Writerie or similar)
• the Lantern Press series from your local Cracker Barrel
• special events such as Meetups or Postcrossing themes
• unique shapes or any special or limited design series
• Miscellaneous locale: Great Britain, British or Irish themes, St. Louis, anything from or about Georgia, South Carolina
I really do sincerely thank you for the thought you’re putting into a swap by even taking the time to read my profile … it is so appreciated! And thank you in advance for your kindness!
