My name is Krista. I'm a 27 year old cubicle-manager (as glamorous as it sounds - trust me) living in Michigan trying desperately to make sense of pretty much every aspect of life.
I lodge amid postcards and too much fishing gear with my boyfriend, Brandon, our chubby and slightly grouchy but decidedly needy cat Tobias and our loveable dog, Fishin' (I swear he was already named when we adopted him) who has absolutely no idea that he is a puppy who weighs 57 lbs and can lift the coffee table.
Irrational fears include zombies, swimming where my feet don't touch, geese chasing me, occasionally I fear seeing a panther or tiger as I leave for work in the morning (this stems from an incident while living in NYC that we shall not discuss), scrapbookers (they are EVERYWHERE) and people starring into my window at night.
Things people say I should fear but do not include spiders, jumping from airplanes, having my heart broken, confined spaces, late night walks alone and Tobias.
I don't know what I want to do with the rest of my life yet but....isn't that the point?
Music has been my constant companion since I discovered it's magic about the age of 12. I don't want to list favorites but here are my next 15 bands chosen randomly by iTunes:
Ray LaMontagne, Suckers, Bachelorette, Sunset Rubdown, Headlights, M. Ward, Muddy Waters, Richard Buckner, Korey Dane, The Frames, Ingrid Michaleson, Alanis Morissette, Horse Feathers, She Wants Revenge, Counting Crows.
What am I obsessed with right now?
Ho Hey by The Lumineers
It's a known fact amongst my group of friends that I am actually a gay male on the inside. Anything with Dolly Parton or Bette Midler is basically embedded within my heart for always. But here are some of my very favorite lovelies:
The Red Violin
Amelie
The Joy Luck Club
The First Wives Club
Hocus Pocus
A Very Long Engagement
Love Me If You Dare
Sense & Sensibility
PS: My heterosexual female reality will see anything with Ryan Gosling, Paul Rudd or John Cusack...cause, well a girls got needs.
All of the things I LOVE, in no particular order (because I don't want them to feel bad):
Jesus (He is in order, however)
Dinosaurs
Graffiti
New Socks

Lime Green
Gray Purple
Bell Peppers
Traveling

I am not a fan of these things, though there are probably (reads totally) more, I shall seem less picky:

Waking up at 5:45
Tourist Postcards
