Just a note (as of May 6, 2024): Still not fully getting back into swaps, but I love to do RAKs and wishlists and the like here and there when I'm able! Hope everyone is well!!!
Hello there!
My name is Mary and I love all things arts and crafts! When I make my own artwork, I often use watercolors, gouache, pens/pencils, and digital tools. I also enjoy using Posca markers (super fun!) and creating paper collages, especially with vintage ephemera and themes. I'm pretty much a paper nerd.
When I'm not being artsy, I like to do a bit of gardening, cooking/baking, sewing/knitting or watching a good flick or show. I like a wide range of genres, but some pieces I've liked include the Sherlock Holmes series, Dead Poets Society, Goonies, The Little Prince, several films based on Jane Austen works, Studio Ghibli films, the Harry Potter movies, and Marvel flicks. Same goes for music - love me some '80s, oldies, Big Band, classical, electropop, hip hop, rock, etc...songs from pretty much all genres.
I've always had a passion for anything to do with art, crafts, stationery, and design, and I'm excited to share that enthusiasm with fellow enthusiasts here at Swap-bot! I also love the personal aspect of snail mail and getting to know people for who they genuinely are (hope the feeling is mutual!). It's been a joy receiving swaps, especially knowing that people have taken the time to write or put them together. I also enjoy putting fun swap packages together (I can't help but include extras, heehee), so I always hope my partners are happy with what they get! If you have any issues (whether it be with what you receive, postage...etc), please message me and I will work with you to resolve them!
Just a note: I mark my swaps sent when they've been dropped in the mailbox. The mail is picked up at irregular times in my neighborhood, so sometimes the USPS comes before I drop it in the mailbox, meaning swaps may get sent out the following day. Also, our HOA is terrible at notifying us of maintenance activities - they recently withheld residents' mail for a few days while the mailboxes were being repainted and let us know AFTER the fact. I apologize in advance for any future impact this may have on receiving or sending swaps!
