I'm a 25 year old student at the Herron School of Art and Design, majoring in ceramics. I'm pretty new to crafting; I just started a craft group at school with friends last year. I like doing crafts to balance out all the snobby "fine art" I have to do at school. I love having stuff that's cool looking, hand made, and that is useful! Practical art is my passion.

I love anything asian and have taken a bit of japanese, and also fairy tales, animals, coffee and tea, graffiti and graphic style pop art, especially stuff like in Giant Robot and Juxtapose magazines, anything book related, especially if it's fantasy - Neil Gaiman is my all time favorite author, but I also love Francesca Lia Block, Poppy Z brite, and Christopher Moore, to name a few. Also, I love zines and graphic novels on just about anything (except super heroes, yuck, no stereotypical comics!). And although I don't consider myself either, I seem to have a soft spot for goth or emo/angsty/moody/dark themed art. Cute guys/girls with broken hearts just seem to be a weakness of mine.

Radiohead, Eyedea and Abilities, Gorillaz, Portishead, Esthero, The Mars Volta, David Bowie, Frou Frou, Toonami Space Bass soundtrack, Muse, Ani Difranco, Beck, Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Daft Punk, Bjork, Pink Floyd, Basement Jaxx, soundtracks like Donnie Darko, Collateral, Cowboy Bebop, and Garden State; Quarashi, Smashing Pumpkins, White Stripes, Sneaker Pimps, Sarah McLachlan, Poe, Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, Billie Joel, Genesis, Sting, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Def Tones, Janes Addiction, Primus, Type O Negative, Ministry, acid jazz, experimental electronica...

Dark Crystal and Labyrinth are my top two - I never get tired of them. I'm a sucker for nostalgia:) Also, Eternal Sunshine, White Oleander, and Garden State are some current faves. I also loooove bad horror flicks, and have decided I must have a Pinhead pincushion...

Scrubs and Adult Swim mostly - also, I do like anime, but I'm picky. FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Serial Experiments Lain, Chobits, Trigun, and Samurai Champloo, and Excel Saga are awesome. I don't like a whole lot else, I gotta say.
