My name is Anthea and I am 20 years old.

Here are 7 random things about me:

1] I prefer brackets to parentheses. Not quite sure why, but they seem more aesthetically pleasing to me.

2] I still sleep with stuffed animals. There are 4 that are always on my bed: Piglet, Mary Lamb, Leopard, and my demon dragon cow thing.

3] I've never really been that creative at naming my stuffed animals. I think the most creative name I ever came up with was Urrsplat. Still not sure where that name came from.

4] I really like candy. I mean, REALLY. I have an insatiable sweet tooth.

5] During summer I will go weeks living off of salad and fresh fruit. They both make me feel relaxed.

6] Winter used to be my favorite time of year, but then I realized that I hate the cold. I'm kinda small and that is not conducive to staying warm during winter. I actually really like summer. Which, surprisingly used to be my least favorite season. Although, there will always be a special place in my heart for curling up in bed next to my window, reading and listening to the rain.

7] My favorite smells include, but aren't limited to: new books, fresh cut grass, yellow roses, white lilac, fresh laundry, lavender, rain on cement, spring rain, Axe phoenix, baking cookies and cupcakes, and my daddy's cooking.

I really like most music. Except for most country and most oldies. I definitely enjoy techno/house/electronica, although I think that is more from the last guy I was with. I play saxophone and I attempt to play guitar on occasion. I enjoy listening to live music more than anything, and the best concert would have to be an All American Rejects concert I went to in my senior year. The tickets were only $30 and the seats were great, even if they were only bleacher seats.

I read books out the wazoo. The most influential book that I have read would have to be 1984, with Fahrenheit 451 coming in at a close second. Currently I am stuck on Freud's Civilizations and It's Discontents, and absolutely loving it. I also absolutely ADORE Neil Gaiman, especially Neverwhere. It's an amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone, definitely to those who like twisted Alice in Wonderland like stories. I will read anything from Terry Pratchett to Douglas Adams to Tamora Pierce to Jane Austin, with the exception of Stephanie Meyers. Sorry Twilight fans, but I just don't see how a relationship like that is desirable at all. I like my independence and I definitely don't need some guy telling me who to see and what to do.

I adore Disney and Pixar movies. My Favorite Disney movie is Lion King and Lion King 2. Pixar, it would have to be Cars, although Toy Story and Finding Nemo are also pretty close. My favorite romance of ALL time is Ever After. Actually, that might be my favorite movie. Although, Marie Antoinette comes very close. The costuming in both movies is stunning. Also there is Robin Hood Men in Tights, Eurotrip (my crude, disgusting, guilty pleasure), Beauty and the Beast, History of the World Part 1, Serenity, and many, many more.

Anything Joss Whedon. I mean ANYTHING. Buffy, Angel, Firefly, and Dr. Horrible are my favorites. I love ANTM, and am hoping to try out for it some day. I also love old school cartoons. They make me remember happier days. Chuck and Veronica Mars are amazing as well. I don't watch too much TV, mainly cause I don't have time.

I am very big on Photography and ceramics. I also like sewing (which is a new development for me) and coloring. I'm not always good at that drawing thing, but I'm getting better slowly. I also enjoy beading and wire work when i get around to it.
