Hello everyone I am Wee-Chuan and I live in Singapore. It is a busy, thriving and energetic country but a very safe and crime-free place. The weather is a bit on the warm side and it is rather humid. But then most homes, transport and almost all indoor places are air-conditioned.
... mainly because I love travelling and seeing as much as I can of this lovely world. I do have a list of preferences but I am not very fussy. I like cityviews, landscapes, mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, night scenes, winter scenes, castles, cathedrals, windmills, bridges, monuments, trains, heraldry, flags, etc - basically anything interesting in God's big world is fine with me. I prefer single view to multi-view postcards. Anything depicting your culture be it costume, festivities, language, food, dance etc will be interesting to me. I also like mainstream Christian religious cards (Anglican, Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant).
I like my postcard to be sent on its own - don't like it to be in an envelope. I don't like advertising, free or handmade (self-taken photo) postcards.
but maybe I should add that where postcards are concerned, I am not at all interested in royalty and personalities of any sorts be it TV/Movie/Sports .. (All men /women are equal - no one should be on a pedestal). Having said that, great men / women who contributed to medicine, research, exploration, community, faith - these are the ones to be honored.
I don't quite care for cutesy / kawaii cards, animals (except goats why? ask me LOL), humorous nor cartoon cards. ..please, no doggy or kitty postcards
Once I attended a water-colouring class but it was a disaster. I still keep a couple of my efforts as evidence of how bad I was (or am). Right now I am better with a circular saw and an angle grinder than with an artist brush. Nevertheless I cherish hopes of one day, being able to master it. Anyone want to advise me? LOL ..
... to me. I have the radio on most of the day and my MP3 and CDs collection is quite extensive. Although I like most music, my favourite genres are country and classical. Yes, a very odd combination ,,,. ..
I like taking a lot of photos when I travel and at one time I used to load myself down with a lot of gear (lenses, various bodies, tripod etc) But the years have tone me down in this respect. Nowadays I travel only with one SLR, an extra flash and two lenses (and my wife still complains - what's her handbag for?).
Although I have a lot of great (I think so) pixs of various topics - - don't worry ... I will not load your mailbox with a photo postcard of mine .. I always send store-bought postcards.
is a doorway somewhere in China that I took on one of my photo journeys. I like doors and gates - they signify freedom - they allow people to walk away (or come back) and bridges - because they connect people and communities.

..oh .. I am a guy (I know that my name might not give a clue about this) so I am (naturally) not much into cutesy, girly, frilly stuff. Give me trains, erupting volcanoes, towering castles, pretty girls in cultural costumes (or better still, in bikinis) any day .... :-) (am I getting myself into trouble here?)
Meet you in the mail .. Wee-Chuan
