My name is Yaya and my full name is Nahria Medina Marzuki. The name Nahria itself is the abbreviation of N (my parents daughters' names start with an "N"--> Novia, Nadia and Nahria), A (from Arifuddin, my father's name), H (from Hamida, my mom's name), and Ria (from January, my birth month). As for Medina is the name of a holy city in Saudi Arabia and Marzuki is my father's last name.
I'm still single, but of course I have my own criteria of my future husband's characteristics, like:
1.He must be a good moslem.
2.Non smoker
3.Loving
4.Romantic
5.Kind hearted
6.Passionate
7.Must get along well with my family
8.Trustworthy
9.Not an obsessive person
10.Funny
Love of the first sight can happen to anyone, it's not only happening in movies and yes I believe in Love of the first sight. Like I've mentioned before I'm still single but my life is surrounded with my nieces (Hayyu, Valerie, Isya and Ayya) and nephew, Walid. So, no..I cannot imagine life without children, as I cannot imagine my life without my nieces and nephew.
I must confess that although I'm 29, I still am the baby of the family when it comes to getting sick. I don't know, I like a fragile glass who easily getting sick.
When I was kid, I wanted to be so much to be a career girl who wears a beautiful professional dress, wearing high heels, driving my car and having my own office. But life lead me to a different direction, as my profession right now is varied. I'm a freelance writer for Asia Blogging Network, I'm an Oriflame Consultant and I also sell a handphone credit.
God forbids anything bad happened to me but unfortunately a year ago the worst thing happened to me and my family, it was when my mom was diagnosed with a lung cancer. My whole world felt like tumbling down.
My profession right now is an Oriflame Consultant, right now I'm in 12% Level. I have to admit that I'm not that organized, though..hehehe..
Let's see, if I have all the money in the world and I can go vacationing to anywhere, I'd like to go to the Holy City Mecca in Saudi Arabia , Singapore and Paris . But my preferable city to live is still Jakarta .
I'm starting my 2009 Resolution a bit earlier this December 1, which was stop drinking Coca-cola. Beside that, I hope 2009 is the year I meet my soul mate.
I don't lie a lot, really. I try to be truthful the best I can do.
My biggest fear is losing the people I love mostly.
I hate when people lie..when people are angry a lot and when they are very ignorant. I think my worst feature is my stomach, as I'm a bit chubby..hehehe..so, I wish I'm a bit thinner and be more patient.
I love Obama, and I believe he will make a big difference to America .
I don't know how God wants me to die, but I hope when my time comes...my family won't suffer so much as to cry all the time.
I wish to have my sister's talent, which is able to communicate in front of a lot of people.
My precious possessions are my computer, hand phone and my Oriflame biz.
I love books by Jodi Picoult, Sophie Kinsella, Danielle Steel, Maeve Binchy and Paulo Coelho. So my favorite books are My Sister's Keeper, Tara Road , Shopaholic books, Veronica Decides to Die and Mixed Blessings.
I feel sad when my mom got sick.
I admire my sister Nadia, my sister Novia and my very smart big brother Imran. I admire Oprah too. But I don't like to see Britney Spears, please don't ask me why...
I have so many favorite quotes, one of them is:
when we want something, we have to have a clear purpose in mind for the thing that we want (Paulo Coelho)
So far my contribution to the environment is never use plastic bag whenever I go grocery shopping, I bring my own bags.
I love swapping to get to know other people.
