Comment: Thank you for the wonderful assortment of Tim Holtz stamped images. I agree with you that it can be frustrating sometimes in getting a clearly stamped impression since so many of his images are distressed. I loved the way you made some of the images into mandalas: I think I used this technique in the dim past and will have to revisit it. Thank you for the additional ephemera and tissue paper. I carefully peeled off the washi tape and will use it in a junk journal or smash book spread. Altogether, this was a wonderful package to receive in the mail.

It gave me such a feeling of happiness and wellbeing to see a big fat envelope (you spoiled me with so many wonderful extras!) in my mailbox with your impeccable calligraphy all over it...it's been so LONG! I am beyond thrilled to see you actively swapping again...so many of us benefit from receiving pieces of your artwork, and it just wasn't the same here without you. As for the mail delivery, I blame the slimy Louis DeJoy for all of it. Even the sight of his face makes me angry. He looks a bit like Tony Soprano...just a malignant lumpy pile of flesh. Hopefully he will soon be just another anonymous rich guy, instead of someone who impacts us every single day. I don't want to end this with the thought of him in my mind, so let me once again tell you that your work is tres jolie. As my French friend Brigitte says: bisous! Comment: Thanks so much for the cheerful envelope and the somehow moody seeming but none the less beautiful flower ATC! I didn't even see the goodies in the sewing pattern at first so I had a secondary surprise! It does seem like a while since anything from Alpharetta...The snow scene here is unfortunately normal, if I could tolerate heat better I'd totally move farther south...

That you also for the great extras. Very nice swap. P.S. I love barn owls so much. Down in San Diego we had one nest in the palm tree in our back yard one summer. He would glide by right in front of us at night as we sat out.

However, the tag arrived all in one piece. The two things inside were partial bits, but thankfully taped together well. I am so amazed with your handwriting - it is art! I had such a block on what to send you, because the previous ATC I'd made for my last swap to you seemed to fit THIS theme so much better...I had a few false starts trying to do a card that had your fave flower violets on it without doing just another version of the previous one. Since I couldn't get out of that loop, I finally decided not to SHOW violets but wanted to still include your flower somehow... Comment: Paula, your ATCs are always so nice (keepers), The techniques that you use always make me wonder. So I have to ask on the Bugs card the finish is crackled, is that a medium that you purchased or a varnish that you break up yourself once its dried??
Response: Hey, thanks for the nice comments! The medium I used to get the crackle is Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint. (Funny that you ask--I hadn't used it since making that card, but I pulled it out and used it again earlier today.) Let me know if you try it--it is fun to work with!

Comment: I love that you created the card in all black. So many of these ATCs have not hit the mark on the "90 % color" rule. As for mine, I repurposed a black greeting card cover, used some die cuts in cardstock and a glossy black paper. I decorated with black wash and some black pearl gems. The design was floral.

Comment: NOT pleased these weren't protected by sleeves and left to wander loose in an envelope. With the mail being as it is I ALWAYS put any atc, mine or others', in sleeves and enclose them in a note card
Response: Oh no! Sorry you were disappointed. I actually sent you the cards just as the original artists had sent them to me--I believe one or two that I sent you did have sleeves. I am new at swapping and didn't realize that some people strongly prefer that everything have sleeves. Thanks for calling that to my attention. I've made a note of that now.
