Comment: One of my other partners in this swap also said 1984 was her favorite book, ha! I think everyone goes through a phase of it being the most significant book they've read. :) I hope you've read (or will read) Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. It's a similar dystopian future but features less government coercion and more hedonistic distraction -- an interesting counterpoint (and more relevant, IMHO).
Response: I have not read it, but I will have to check into it! I think it's just beautiful in the details to me. I always have such a difficult time picking a favorite book, Have you read The Perks of Being a Wallflower? there is a boy in there who each book he reads becomes his new favorite book, and I'm kind of like that in a sense. =P

Comment: Thanks for the great Michigan lighthouse card--my first one from Marquette. I wonder how many people would know that Michigan has more lighthouses than any other U.S. state--I didn't!
Response: You're more then welcome! Your profile mentioned you collecting them, and since I have so many(Almost the only kind of postcard I can find around here!) I thought I'd share the love and send one your way. =] I like knowing some silly little facts, and Michigan is surrounded by lakes, so it makes a lot of sense when you think about it. =]

Response: We have winter for a good chunk of the year and snowmobling is pretty popular. I actually really like it. You feel like you're going a lot faster then what you are, and it's very windy and fun!
