Newbie friendly Craft Zine

I would like to join this swap, but as I'm pretty new here have no idea how to go about making a zine! I'd really love to have a go at it, though - it seems like something I'd enjoy. I think it would be great fun to document things I create, but I was wondering indygirl if you have any advice about making zines or links to instructions that you could share, before I sign up for this swap?

Basically, you do a little booklet, usually photocopied. Printed in some way so that more than 1 could be made. In the past they have been copyright free work and mostly traded or bartered - not sold. What you put in your book is up to you. Some people publish zines that have submissions from several artists or writers. I'm thinking about experimenting with some printmaking techniques this summer, so my zine may have a few pages that are block printed along with other pages that are color copied from my printer. I think it would be great for you to do a zine that documented your creations. And don't worry too much about if you are doing it right - this is a new swapper friendly swap. We're not professionals - we're just having fun and doing the best we can:)
