Hello and welcome to the group! Here's a fairly straightforward swap to get things going -- hopefully it will be fun and interesting for you, as well! Write a letter to your partner about your ancestor(s). You can write about one ancestor or about several of them. But please don't limit your letter to just basic details (i.e. names, birth dates). Instead, tell your partner about who your ancestor was -- a story, anecdote, or anything you've discovered through your research that gives a glimpse into your ancestor's life! Your letter can be typed or handwritten. Lengthwise -- it should be at least the equivalent of one full typed page Include a flat surprise with your letter (i.e. a postcard or a notecard). It would be great if the item related to your letter in some way, but this isn't necessary. Items are sender's choice. Summary: 1.) One letter, typed or handwritten, minimum one full (typed) page or equivalent, about at least one of your ancestors. Share stories/anecdotes (not just basic details). 2.) One flat surprise. Group rules apply. I will angel (if necessary). Have fun -- and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! PS. The photo is of my great-grandparents, Wilmer and Daisy (Richards) Tillinghast! :-) |
