Day of Dead/Sugar Skull Art Journal Page

This is like the Art Journal book swaps that others do but instead of sending a “book” you are only sending 1 page to 1 person which means you will be guaranteed to receive something instead of forever having your “book” floating off in space somewhere. After a time, you will have enough “pages” to create your own combined journal. There are tons of videos on YouTube explaining the many different ways to bind your journals.

For this swap you will be sending one sheet of paper folded to measure 8” x 3 ¾ to 4” (width depends on if you: tri-fold your paper or cut to width for a folded sheet) and completely decorate the front, inside full page and back. So that you send them an art journal page.

The finished piece can be regular fold in half or tri-fold whichever you prefer and should fit in a standard size business or legal size US envelope.

You can use regular copy paper, card stock, scrapbook paper – whatever you wish but please reinforce it (2 sheets of copy paper or add/glue things to it for thickness) so that it is not easily torn = that happens sometimes with the mail! Unfortunately.

The theme for this swap is: Day of the Dead or Sugar Skulls Remember you are receiving a mini journal page that expresses who the maker is. Please take a look at your partner’s profile to ensure you are not sending something offensive to them – though this is definitely a subject that is not to everyone’s liking so if you don’t skulls or the dead or understand it’s meanings, this is not the swap for you.

The last page should include your name, address, swap-bot id, the date and your signature.

When you get enough of these “pages” they can be bound into an actual journal of pages from others to make a unique art journal.
