Sorry for beeing so daft, but would anybody expalin "notecard"

Notecard is a blank card used for short notes, or, with additional paper, long letters. Think of greeting cards without pre-written messages or sentiments. Some notecards are elaborately decorated, but others are more simply, with maybe just a small image on the front. All come with envelopes.

It says no message on the outside. Does that include generic messages? I saw some really cute Mary Engelbreit cards, but they have little sayings on the front as part of the pictures.

Well, since this is an international swap, I want to keep any message or sentiment off the cards. Someone in a country where English is not the native language might not have too much use for a card with English sentiment on it. Perhaps everyone would be fine with that, but I figured it was easier to just go with no messages than to try to poll everyone.

I prefer no messages on the cover, too.

I sent a Bcc email off to everyone on the list as of this morning. Please let me know if you did not receive. No changes or edits in the swap, just a little reminder :-)

Do the notecards need to be double, ie you open them? Or can they be single (like postcards) but with no writing on the back and with accompanying envelope?

Oooo, I like the idea of the single side notecard with envelope! Those would be so perfect for thank you notes. Only without message, though, and I wouldn't want to receive all that sort of notecard. A variety is best.

Good morning, I have some cute and colorful coffee theme notecards that have no messages on the front or inside, very cute. However, they do have coffee related recipes on the back good ones actually how about those for a partner in the U.S. A. would that be okay? Have a great day. Faye

I think one of the cards I planned on sending has a bit of detailed history on the back of the scene on the front, written in English. I wondered about using it for this swap in case I have all international partners. I decided that it would be good for those partners who I know would appreciate such history, but I'll check the profiles.

Coffee, unliked history, is fairly well loved :-) I suppose if your partner's profile indicated allergies or strong dislike of coffee, you wouldn't want to send the coffee related cards. However, if you had me, I'd be thrilled to get them. I think lots of coffee fiends would :-)

Partners have been assigned :-) We have 7 countries represented in this swap. Australia is very well represented with 5 out of their 8 state/territories represented! The breakdown, for other stats nuts like me, is;

I'm really sorry I still haven't sent. My little girl hasn't been well this week and just as I've been getting organised with things, she keeps being sent home from school.

I was at the hospital with her yesterday afternoon and it turns out she has an ear infection in both ears :( She's been off school today, so guess who has managed to get nothing accomplished again today.

She's going back tomorrow, so if I get my finger out, it will be off in the post some time tomorrow.
