Writing Prompt:

What other hobbies do you have?

topic1

--I don't like having to say this, but I am seeing a lot of 3s and 1s going out lately when they shouldn't be. If you check the side panel - View participant, you can see when your partner says they sent things.-- From there add 8 weeks...YES, 8 weeks. The USPS has admitted to slowing down flat rate mail and upping the costs of packages for the holiday season. If after 8 weeks you you still have received nothing from your partner you are more then justified in marking a swap as a 1. --

So for this swap, you will have 3 partners.

Send each partner at least three (3) different goodies.

This is to see if people are paying attention and actually reading through this a little bit.

In the comments I want to hear your thoughts:

What kinds of themes would you love to see done?

Do you like having writing prompts?

What about a very specific exchange?

Tell me ideas, things you would like to see done.

  • Do you want drawing challenges?

  • Crafting challenges?

  • Pocket Letters?

  • Themed envelope designs?

Unrated newbies are welcome with a profile filled out and not just one or two lines.

I do check profiles before partners are assigned.

A filled profile will give an idea of your likes and dislikes; so people can get an idea of what you would enjoy receiving.

Some examples of things to send but not limited to:

  • Handmade items are welcome.

  • Unused Postage Stamps

  • Note cards

  • Postcards

  • Sticker sheets

  • Bookmarks

  • Washi Tape

  • Letter Set (2 sheets and 1 envelope)

  • Envelopes (mailing and sticker holders)

  • Embellishments

  • Profile based item

Things not to send:

Mind you if you read the profile and they would love to receive these items then please do send them. -

  • random scraps of paper

  • tiny bits of lace ribbon

  • any torn bits

  • jagged edges

  • random magazine images/pages

Any item but make sure it is something you would like to receive!

If you have any questions don't be afraid to message me.

Rate your partners a 5 as long as you receive 3 different items in your Happy Mail.

Please remember to put the name of the swap somewhere on the card, piece of paper or even the envelope.

I will remove those that don't fit the requirements.

I can't believe I am having to add this. If I find people are rating "ones" unfairly, 3 months after the swap was sent, are noncommunicative, etc. You will no longer be welcome in my swaps.

As far as themes for me..

I love Color themes, scavenger hunt type themes and love playing card themes, cartoon themes, florals, decorated envelope themes etc...

DawnNunn 01/ 9/2022 #

Themes: florals, birds, butterflies

Yes to writing prompts

Specific exchange can be ok as long as it’s not too obscure

No to drawing and pocket letters for me. Yes to crafts and deco envies

Other things I like to swap are little pockets or flipbooks.

Thanks for asking 😀

I'd love a swap for ATC abstracts! Prompts are fun but so is freestyle. I like both. I'm a NO on the drawing but craft challenges are OK.

DeboraCreates 01/14/2022 #

Themes: color schemes, birds, floral, men, women

Challenges: postcard w/ paint (watercolor or ATC). No to drawing for me.

Crafts: handmade postcards, handmade cards, ATC (pocket letters would be a separate swap IMO because each pocket is actually it's own little happy mail pocket )

Envelopes - handmade / decorated/ themed / printed digital would be fun

theirmimi 01/22/2022 #

Butterflies, birds, flowers, colors for themes. Like writing prompts. Can’t draw. Lol

Erianna29 01/23/2022 #

I'm open to anything!! I just like doing swaps! If they are within my ability I'm in :)

BellaRose 01/26/2022 #

I am open to anything as well. I love all kinds of swaps, especially like the one for this swap :)

RosieRedd 01/28/2022 #

For themes, i love florals, vintage, butterflies, or color themes for a broader interpertation.

As for challanges I agreed with the above, decorated envies(happy mail) ATC, pocket letters, flipbooks, goodies pockets, washi swaps, detach stationery, and postcards handmade or store-bought.

I'm not too good with drawing, I prefer using, papers, stickers, washi embellishments etc..

I hope this helps :)

I like having writing prompts. It helps me navigate what to write vs. rambling!

I prefer open to very specific exchanges & using profiles to guide specificity.

No crafting or drawing challenges for me. I prefer sending items the person can use as they see fit.

shellbee8 02/ 5/2022 #

I agree with RosieRedd for Challenge ideas or paper crafting projects. I also would like writing prompts occasionally! As far as specific exchanges, I love themed swaps! Some themes I would love to see are: Vintage, Botanical, Coffee, Space, Fairytale, ect.

SoulKissed 02/ 6/2022 #

I like writing prompts, crafting challenges and envelope themes.

saguaroandsage 02/ 9/2022 #

Crafting challenges or Pocket Letters!!

CardCatalogue 02/12/2022 #

I’m brand new to swap-bot so I don’t yet know what I like or don’t. I do like specific themes or challenges generally because I create better and have more fun with some guidance. I’ve seen some interesting game themes, like scavenger hunts, I spy and scattergories. Sounds fun!

mirrahn13 02/13/2022 #

I like doing challenges! Going through my collection and the stores around me to find specific themed items is alot of fun for me!!

AJ73 02/14/2022 #

Wow! So many great ideas have been left for you. However, will add some input. As far as drawing goes, I would be willing to give it a go. I love trees. What about postcards with only trees on them? There are lots of altered paperclips on youtube. It would be fun to do an altered paperclip challenge following a youtube tutorial? Also, I've watched some beautiful bookmarks created from youtube tutorials. If you want me to send you a link or links to these tutorials, let me know. I'll be happy to do that.

beenebag 02/16/2022 #

themes : trees, shells, patterns, fav color, fav number, fav letter of the alphabet

Do you like having writing prompts? Not really

What about a very specific exchange? No

Tell me ideas, things you would like to see done. MEGA ATC swap (10-20 partners), 1 ATC for each partner.

Do you want drawing challenges? Sounds fun

Crafting challenges? No

Pocket Letters? No

Themed envelope designs? No

Trevismom 02/17/2022 #

I have had so much fun with the pet themed swaps! Let's do more with our fuzzy, feathery, scaley family. Some swaps could be like my pet writing to your pet kind of thing or toy/treat swaps.

DParker85 02/17/2022 #

Themed envelopes sounds like fun! I just live the ideas of getting inspiration and little things from penpals

becait 02/17/2022 #

Not joining this round but we did color themed swaps a couple years ago where the items had to all be the same color. fairytale, florals, seasonal themes always seem to be popular

Piccolo 02/18/2022 #

I like the swaps with writing prompts. It tends to bring people who aren’t natural writers out of their shells. It’s nice to learn a little about someone. For example- pick 3 points in a person’s profile and comment and relate to them. I think for a more uniform swap it’s good to suggest quantities of items. For example: 3 vinyl stickers, 10 memo sheets.

ultracinematik 02/18/2022 #

I, too, can't draw, so collage projects work well for me. I enjoy watching tutorials to make projects, but I am disabled so ones that won't require me to go to the post office to send them out. Small, flat, 3oz or under projects. I don't make ATCs (yet!), and prefer other types of projects that aren't ATCs.

riviwriter 02/21/2022 #

I like swaps with writing prompts! I also like finding quotes or poems to match with different themes (I've been getting more into goodreads lately).

I love crafting challenges, themed envelopes, themes swaps, etc. The pocket letters I'm not as much of a fan of because in the past I've had issues with postage. My partners have always been very understanding, and I reimburse any missing postage, but the difference of 1/8 in. in envelope thickness can mean like $3 so I really try to stay flat flat flat

DParker85 03/11/2022 #

Ok. Just so I’m not missing anything, I rated all 3 of my partners with a 5 And gave a start to the coordinator, but just got an email that I need to rate them…. Is that just standard, or is saving the ratings not the final step?
