I recently did a see through postcard in another group, hosted by @Rocky Beach, and it was such fun! I thought we could try it in this group as well. Create a see through postcard. Sometimes it's called a packing tape or clear tape postcard. Usually when I make these I make a frame out of cardboard, cover it with tape and then add some collage pieces. Then cover the other side with tape. It can help make it sturdier if you attach at least some of your additions to the frame or to each other. The card should be completely covered in tape on both sides. You also need to write the address clearly on a piece of paper (which can be any shape you want!) and make sure that's on the card in an appropriate place. You also need to add your swap-bot name and the name of the swap -- sometimes I put that on the frame and sometimes in the card elements. I was quite scared the first time I posted one of these but it got through the postal system fine. I've also seen a tutorial here and another one here and a YouTube video here which makes a packing tape card without a frame. I've not tried that yet, but if you want to have a go, do! Put the stamp on the outside of the card, not inside the tape, to guarantee the post office recognising it. Let me know if you have any questions! . |
