I was rinsing out a small can of tomato sauce to put in the recycling bin, and the idea occurred to me that it could make a really fun recycled pincushion. What sewer (that's SEW-er) couldn't use another pincushion? Especially a pretty, eco-friendly one! So let's flex our creative muscles and swap for one. The task is to create one recycled / upcycled pincushion for your partner. It can have some new components, but a portion of it must be from recycled materials. Recycled materials should be clean and in good condition. Why not make a pincushion from a can, jar, mason jar, tea cup, etc.? Or make the fabric portion out of a felted sweater, cutter quilt, denim from old jeans, or part of a pre-loved t-shirt? These are just ideas, so be inventive and don't be afraid to try something new! I did a quick Google search and see that I'm not the first one to think about the recycled pincushion concept. :-) Here are some links to inspire you: To recap:
I hope you'll join this group swap and share your creativity with us! :-) | |
