Fellow Tea Drinkers: I know from the popularity of the tea bag swaps that there are a lot of tea lovers out there! And I know from reading your profiles when I swap tea with you that quite a few of you are artsy. Let's put it all together! To join in the fun, you'll create mail art by decorating the outside of an envelope for your partner. Inside, send a greeting, a tea bag (sender's choice!), and short description of the tools and techniques used to create the envelope design. The theme is Tea, of course. You can draw, paint or rubber stamp the outside of the envelope. Add stickers, too, if you like. Keep in mind that any dimensional embellishments will just get torn off, so whatever you add to your design should be flat, and your final project should be smooth. The size of the envelope, the color, and whether it's a hand-made or mass-produced envelope will be up to you, but you may have to pay extra postage if your envelope isn't a standard size or shape. (Check with your post office for specifics.) This is international, so you may be sending to a partner outside of your country. However, if your envelope is standard, it shouldn't cost you more than the usual international postage amount. (That's 98 cents in the US.) IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are assigned a partner in Australia, DO NOT send the tea bag! Please put some good effort into your envelope, and send a nice quality project to your partner, something you would like to receive. You must have a rating of 4.8 or better, with no recent no-sends. Newbies with ATC or other art experience, please PM me if you'd like to participate. I will angel this swap, but please don't sign up if you don't have time to make a nice envelope for you partner! If you think the envelope should be as exciting as the stuff inside, here is another opportunity for you: I currently have a mail art swap going on with the theme of summer. I'd love to have you join that one as well! |
